This is an 8 pack of butane canisters. These have a common fitting that works with name camping stoves, torches, etc. Those connectors simply snap on top of these. You can also buy adapters to use these to fill lighters, other items. That makes these a great value compared to the smaller lighter refill canisters. These burn clean and hot. These have added leak detector in them similar to natural gas/propane, so you'll definitely notice if there is a leak. Overall the quality on these is good, and they seem like a good value.

I was going to be heading into town, which is forty five minutes away since we live way out in the country, to shop at Wal-Mart. One of the needed items was a couple of butane canisters for a camp stove that we let friends use when they camp out here on our hundred acres of forest. They fly out next week. But my wife saw this pack of eight on line at Amazon. Being the practical one she pointed out that there really is nothing on our shopping list that we actually have to get since the butane tanks and a few other things we can just buy on line and have delivered. Skip the hour and a half trip into town and back and just pick up the rest when we go into town for a doctor's appointment. That's what we did.So the canisters arrived a day or two later right to our place and I popped one into the camp stove. All blue flame with no flickering yellow (incomplete combustion). So the fuel is good. The only con is that these cannisters cost over five bucks a piece and the lesser quality (which is fine for camping) is only $2-$3 each at Wal-Mart. BUT I saved a trip and have enough to last a long while. What's that worth?
