About this item

  • Each pack contains two transparent hawk static-cling reflective decals. Choose from a range of designs to fit your home décor tastes.
  • Save the beautiful birds you love. WindowAlert stickers act as a deterrent for wild birds from flying into glass windows and sliding doors.
  • The specially designed reflective material in each window cling reflects ultraviolet sunlight as glowing warning sign for birds. To humans they appear as frosted or etched glass.
  • Designed for a one-time application to exterior glass surfaces. Before application, ensure that your surface is thoroughly clean and free of any overlay, tinting, film, coating or other impurities.
  • WindowAlert is the trusted source for prevention of bird window strikes and window collisions. WindowAlert first developed and pioneered ultraviolet window decals in Bend, Oregon in 2003. Decals are made in the USA.

It is a static cling decal that may be applied to home and office windows. The decal contains a component which brilliantly reflects ultraviolet sunlight. This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but glows like a stoplight for birds. Birds have vision that is up to 12 times better than that of humans. Windowalert decals help birds see windows and thus avoid striking the glass. Window alert decals may be used only on an exterior glass surface free of any overlay, tinting, film, or coating. Clean glass first with water. Avoid use of chemicals such as ammonia or window cleaners. Decals are best applied when glass is warm ideally greater than 50 degrees. If applied during winter months, clean glass with warm water prior to application. Place decals alone or in groups every few feet on the outside of the window. Position out of reach of infants and small children. Restore static cling by rinsing in lukewarm water. Uv coating may fade based on exposure and local elevation. Replace decals every 9 to 12 months.

Do not work well, birds still attack windows, especially early sunrise, not as often during bright day, getting a statue figure

Works great to keep birds from hitting our windows. Looks like just clear frosted to us, but birds see blue and don’t crash!

Expensive for what they are, but does seemed to have stopped the starlings crapping on my windows as they were continually flying to the roof of my house

That even with following directions, this product is a waste of money. Can be seen on the inside and birds are still hitting my window. I would like a refund. Rating would be no star if that was available.

My second time purchasing one of these. We already had them on our kitchen window, these were for the bedroom window after installing mirror film on the inside. They are easy to install - you just clean the window surface and wet it thoroughly, and the decal will adhere to the outside. Ours have withstood rain, wind etc for months without falling off. From inside rhe room, the decals are not very noticeable, but from outside they can be seen clearly - especially when the sun is reflecting off the window, which was what we wanted. We haven’t had a single bird strike since these were put up.

Cost is high for a few pieces of plastic.

I live near the forest and have a lot of birds around the house. When we first moved in 18 years ago, a robin killed itself flying into the patio door the first few weeks we were here. We have been using Window Alerts ever since that time. The patio door needed more than that, so we used electrical tape and made it look as if it has window panes. I also hang crystals in the big picture windows. Even so, I sadly had a cedar waxwing fly into the patio door a few weeks ago and kill itself. Added more window alerts as they do have to be changed out every 6 mon. or so.

BF's house backs up to a woody area. There are lots of birds that come to his feeders. Poor things would crash into his windows all the time so we thought by putting these on his windows, it would prevent anymore bird deaths. Well...there have been less birds killing themselves by hitting the windows, but periodically we come home to find one. So sad.

We live in Arizona where we have big windows that reflect the sky. We also have LOTS of birds here we have had probs ly ten birds smash into our windows over the past few years we’ve lived here. Since I bought these, NO bird deaths in the windows where we have these. (Sadly, one in a big window I missed. 😢). Like I said, they work!

良い点は目立たないこと。逆光だとほとんどわかりません。よろしくない点は単価が高いこと。鳥が通れないほどしきつめて貼るとなると結構な枚数が必要です。またステッカーの配置にセンスが問われます。

Wish I could send it back. We have a new bird feeder that was being enjoyed by a multitude of birds. They would wait to take a turn at the feeder. But we began to hear bird strikes (No casualties), that were upsetting. Got the hawk decals to make them aware of the glass. 2 days later we noticed there were No birds on our porch. Feeder was not being used at all, and only an occasional fly buy. Took the hawks down, and a whole week later there were still no birds. Today we noticed an occasional bird coming in for a quick snack. Hope they come back, and we will figure out something else for the window. So I guess it works well, but it will not go back on the windows.

Item as described, although I didn't realize it was to be put on the outside of the window. Not as transparent as I was led to believe. So far, the product has worked. Instead of birds hitting my windows several times a day, were down to one hit a week. Great idea! to help the birds. Have to replace once the decals curl up. Should be several months. Anxious to see if they'll work during the winter months. They come off the window easily and can be put back on easily. I really like it.
