1) NOT NEW: product received was definitely a used VHS cassette that was advertised and paid for as NEW. There are clear signs of it being used and rewound a number of times as well as actual tape damage. See photos.2) UNUSEABLE: product arrived damaged and unusable - it has rattling plastic elements inside and would definitely damage the VCR if used.
