I really like this case. Fabric & zippers feel high quality. Will hold quite a few pens, pencils, erasers, small markers even. I do wish the main compartment was a little bigger though. Overall I think it’s a nice medium sized case that would be easy to travel with.

It's funny, I had just recently purchased a pencil case similar in size to this one but made of a canvas like material. I'd have purchased this cordouroy material one had I known about it instead! Well, fast forward about a week later and my drawing pen and mechanical pencil collection soon became unruly all living in the pencil case I purchased earlier, cramped up like sardines without specific places for my various drawing implements and I stumble upon this cool looking pencil case of almost the exact same dimensions as the one I got previously but with an extra zippered compartment and pockets! I am now moving various brush liner pens and mechanical pencils into this excellent pencil case that is just what I need but with a great fat cord texture.It is good to see it is available in black as I am not into the pinks and lavenders etc. I am very happy with this pencil case.It's not very apparent in the photos of the product but there are 6 loops for pens/pencils in the top ziupper compartment and a good bit of general storage room with some pockets on that sections top for things like post it notes, lettering guide, and other thin things. I'm going to be using the bottom compartment for some of my Zig brush pens and somerollerball liner pens. The top zippered compartment is used for some Zig brush liners, a fountain pen I use for inking and mechanical pencil in the loops with a couple of erasers in the top compartment.The pencil case itself looks different with the cord texture that I can know right away which pens I have in it since my other pencil case is shaped similarly (and is also black) This one looks cooler than the other so guess what? Yep, that's right, it gets to have the cooler drawing instruments living inside it.In my pictures the case on the left is this one, and the case on the right is the similarly sized other one I mention. I like this pencil case better and love the light colored inside with so many of my pens being dark in color. There are photos of the upper and lower compartments as I am currently using them for reference.

Wow! I am really impressed with this pen case/organizer. I received it as part of the Amazon Vine program, but now that I have received it, I have to say that $7.99 for this item is a STEAL! I do a lot of crafting and art related hobbies, including painting, coloring, calligraphy, etc, so I am always on the look out for new organizers/cases to hold all of my supplies. This caught my eye right away for both the simple yet classic appearance and the description of a large, many pocketed interior.The courderoy exterior of the case is soft and sturdy. I ordered this in purple, and it looks even prettier than it did in the picture! It's about the size of a small purse (like a clutch), and has a sturdy, reinforced handle, so it can be carried separately, but it is also the perfect size to slip into a backpack or messenger bag. It is thicker than I expected and seems extremely durable. I sometimes put my supplies through a lot, what with travel and the "perils" of crafting. I have gone through numerous similar pen/pencil cases in which the handles have ripped off, the interiors have ripped, etc. I do not see that being a problem with this. It is extremely well made— no loose threads or cheap zippers. This item is of very high quality!Now, let me get to the best part! The interior! As described, it has two zipper pockets. Both are quite large, and long enough to fit anything from colored pencils and pens to even paint brushes! One side is deep enough to hold my entire set of 24 sharpies and still have (lots of) room left over. It also has two smaller mesh pockets that are the perfect size to fit a book of sticky notes. These would also be great for holding smaller items like erasers, labels, or anything else you don't want floating around in the larger pocket.The other zipper pocket is not as deep (nor does it need to be!) as it is designed in more of an "easy access" style. It has six elastic loops for pens—perfect if you have a favorite pen you use all the time that you don't want to have to search through the bigger pocket to find. For a student, I think this would also be great for keeping highlighters so they are easily available when taking notes. On the side opposite the pen loops, there is a mesh zipper pocket that is perfect to put little things that might fall out of other pockets, such as paper clips or rubber bands. Both pockets are lined with a canvas-like material (like the outside of a backpack) that feels sturdy enough to stand up to the items that will be constantly rubbing against it.Overall, I am so pleased with this item! It provides great organizational opportunities and a wealth of space for all of your craft/school/work needs. Aside from its exceptional functionality and how well made it is, it is also cute! As I said, I got the purple, but there were numerous other colors, including all-purpose black for anyone who wants something more "professional" than pastel; basically, something that will appeal to everyone! I can't wait to show off this item and I intend to recommend it to my crafty friends! Truly a great item!

Love this pouch! The best thing about it besides it being soft and pretty is that both the outer zippers are 2-way zippers. That way, I don't have to open it all the way to retrieve an item from inside. It's much more convenient than another pouch I ordered with a 1-way zipper. These zippers both slide smoothly with no sticking at the corners. The corduroy fabric is very soft to the touch--I kind of want to pet it! There are little elastic loops sewn in to keep things right where you need them and easy to grab. I might use this for a makeup bag and those loops willhold eyeliner pencils, mascara, eye shadow brushes, etc. You get the idea. There is also a mesh zipper pocket in that part of the pouch where little items like an eye shadow or a lipstick tube can go. The other, larger, compartment will hold makeup base, blusher compacts, etc. I ordered the beige one, so it might be hard to keep clean. There is no info I can find in the item description about fabric care, and there is none in the pouch itself. It looks well-made, so I might chance washing in a lingerie bag on gentle cycle. If I ruin it, it wasn't expensive, but it looks like it will withstand washing. This is very good quality for the price.
