I'm in the middle (maybe) of assembling this. A couple hours in (between my mother in law, my wife, and myself). I'm really good at these types of assembly. I have tools, experience, helpers, etc. It's nearly impossible. I'm very frustrated.Like others have said you'll have extreme difficulty getting the pieces to line up. You'll have to scrape / drill out holes or sand down sections that don't fit. I'm about 97% sure I'm going to return this.Edit: I got it together. DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT A DECENT TOOL COLLECTION (socket wrench, wrench, hammer, screwdrivers). None are included so you better have your own or borrow. After scraping out the holes to make the pieces fit, ignoring instructions that are impossible, causing my mother in law to completely give up, banging on the wood to get the metal parts to fall out because they can go in too far and get stuck, etc... I did it. My bench has some unsightly hammer marks. I'm raising it to 2 stars because it did eventually work (minus one impossible instruction).Now that it's assembled it's an okay bench for working out. It's certainly more aesthetically pleasing than a traditional bench. The weight limit will be a problem for me as I can bench enough, when combined with my bodyweight, that it will be over 256 lbs. The back rest feels like it will be flimsy but I don't really do incline exercises anyways.I would NOT buy this again. However my wife might as it does look good. She also got frustrated and gave up on assembling it. Since she didn't have to eventually complete it, she might think it's worth it.
