The cinnamon flavor is strong. I personally like the taste. The family had mixed reviews. Everyone agreed it's better than going hungry. I'd say it tastes like a cinnamon shortbread. The wheat used has a slightly old flavor to it. The bar was only 1 year old when we tried some. Non the less I'd say for a ration its flavor is a 4 star for me, the wife gives it 3 stars, the kids give it a 2 star and grandma gives it a 3. Grandma remembers these kinds of rations during past wars and said it's nice to have when food runs out. We'll be buying more in a few years, hopping for more flavors then just 1 in a box of 20.

Eat these while drinking black coffee. Pray that you don't get stranded on a desert island with your trophy wife and all you have to eat is soy shortening. You will both be disappointed.

I really like these. They're a little bit too sweet for me on a normal day but if you're in a bad situation, these will make you happy. The best way I can describe it, is that they are like someone took some Taco Bell cinnamon twists and crushed them into a powder and then compressed them into a bar. I know that's a weird way of putting it but they taste like that and whenever you bite off a piece that's the texture of the crumb that's left behind.I definitely recommend them but it is worth noting that the individual packaging on the inside is a bit oily. I assume this is so that you can actually break them apart once open due to how tightly they've been compressed. It is slightly annoying but not terrible.At 1.66 lb per pack and 4.5inWx5inHx2inD that's not a bad weight or size to throw in the car or a backpack for something that can last a person two to three days.

So I bought these and I bought the coconut ones. Coconut ones are the best! These are just a tad too much cinnamon in them I was trying to find a recipe to make like fig bars or my own protein bars and use these for that. Eating them alone isn't very satisfying and I gave it 4 stars because if you try the coconut ones they are beautiful. These you probably need to come up with something inventive to be able to eat them.

These are decent tasting with a crumbly cookie texture. I bought these to help gain weight as an addition to regular meals. I like that they contain so many calories but that they aren't just sugar. So far eating 3 a day has had no ill effects other than getting a bit bored of the taste. It was a lot of money but if it works, and it seems to be, it will be well worth it to be a healthy weight againTags: calories, intake, eating disorder

Good cinnamon flavor. I tried one, and it was pretty good. I totally recommend buying several hundred pounds of these and keeping them in a climate controlled storage locker near your brother-in-law’s place. Make sure you have the storage locker key with you, at all times. ‘Cause, y’know. Zombies.
