My pruners are swimming in these holsters. I suppose it's better they're too big than too small though. This is a lot like what I used when I worked with my dad doing lawn care. I loved how handy it was and found myself reaching down to my right side for my pruners while working in the garden at my new place. Of course I'd realize they weren't there. I hate leaving them laying anywhere because I'm afraid I'll forget them out there and mow over them or find them rusted out later on down the line. Pruners are a handy tool to have on hand even if you're just mowing the lawn. Some stray tree growing that you can't mow over or whatever. That's why I had to order these when I saw them. Honestly, I'd go as far as to saying this holster is a gardeners best friend. The clip is sturdy and they stay on the waistband or pocket hem of my jeans perfectly. I'm a little afraid my pruners might just slip out when I bend over but they haven't yet. I feel whole again. I know it sounds silly but if you've ever had a cordless drill and then didn't, it's the same feeling.

I have a large yard so I would stick clippers or pruners in my pocket so I would have them handy as I watered or inspected plants. Invariably, I would lean over or crouch down and the tip would go into my leg. These leather holsters are a great help. They clip on so you don’t need a belt. They leather is thick and will protect both my leg and the clippers. They are a good size and could also hold a buck knife.
