This line @ 35lb test is great in-between line. Knots are strong, line is not as flexible as more expensive brands. However, this helps keep the hook from wrapping around the main line.

Maybe the line made the difference the fish could not see.

I have not opportunity to test it since hot summer is still there. Fishing bluegill is good choice before trout.

This flurocarbon leader line is strong and yet soft. Good strength.

We used this when we went trout fishing, and it was great! I hooked onto a huge one, and the line eventually broke, but I was surprised with the durability given that it's only 4-pound mono. It's the perfect amount put on a medium-sized spinning real, and honestly perfect for my purposes! The packaging was professional and I'd totally give it to a friend or someone else because you often need different line weights when traveling and fishing in different areas. Great product, a little on the pricey end, but still totally perfect for a light leader.

After being very skeptical of "no-name" brands of fishing gear on Amazon, I have become a big fan of Sougayilang. I have several of their rods, reels, a tackle bag, and this line. All of it is well made and could easily sell with a big name brand on it at higher prices in a retail store (and probably does). There's not a whole lot to say about fluorocarbon lines - if you have not tried them, the characteristics can be very well suited to certain applications. Flouro is generally more transparent in the water and is also less prone to abrasion damage. It also doesn't have the stretch of mono, so on a long length of leader tied to braided line, you will feel every single bump and tap on your terminal tackle. If you'd like to try flouro, or already know you want it, I can recommend this brand. Compared to buying a spool of Berkely line, this will perform very similarly (if not the same) at a better price. The spools also feature a notch that will actually hold the line nicely, which is good because fluorocarbon really has a tendency to "jump" the spool, even more so that monofilament.
