As other reviewers have noted there are is absolutely no safety data sheet (SDS) that identifies what the active ingredients are within this product. That is not good as you do not want any type of product that could create foam or add dangerous chemicals to your pool/spa. Additionally, I just simply did not find this product to be any more or less effective than using a simple water comb device. I change/clean our hot tub filters once a month so they do not get terribly greasey. A water comb attached to hose will shoot 100 very small jets of water at high velocity into the filter pleats and allow you to "comb" the dirt and debris out of the filter. Applying this product and waiting the prescribed time did not result in a discernable difference in cleaning power. Further and worse, there was a lot of foam created and I had to use foam down in the hot tub after doing so. I can only provide 1/5 stars on this product for this reason.

It works well to clean the spa filter. It is pretty soapy and difficult to get it off your hand, so I recommend wearing gloves. I would also wear a mask because I did not like the spray mist getting into lungs. The filter comes out nice and clean after rinsing. This spray can do many washings and economical, especially considering all the replacement filters you are avoiding.

I sprayed a used hot tub filter today and waited awhile. I did it in the laundry room and I had to hold my breath while doing it. I should have used the product outside. After about 20 minutes (it says to wait 5 minutes) I rinsed it off. I did not see a difference, so I did the routine again. The filter never came out white. It is hard to tell if it did anything. It probably needed scrubbed a little. But honestly, the filter was not really bad to begin with.I might try spraying directly around the top of the water line and inside where the filter sits. That will give me a better indication of if the spray works. It certainly can't hurt.Spa Filter Cleaner - Fast-Acting Spray for Instant Hot Tub & Pool Filter Cleaning, Prolongs Filter Life, No Soaking Required, Pool Cartridge Filter Cleaner

Worked surprisingly well after soaking, then spraying, then rinsing a well-used spa filter

This is a standard size spray bottle of spa filter cleaner. This arrives with the sprayer separate and the bottle capped; just screw the nozzle on when ready. This sprays on easily, you let it soak for 5 minutes, then rinse, and reinstall. This seems to work well to remove oils, other buildup. It has little to no odor, and it works relatively quickly. I wish the ingredients were later, however. If this is simply a soap, it is easy enough to dilute dish soap instead. You could also try other milks degreasers. Considering the number of alternatives to clean a filter, I don't feel that this is a great value. You probably have stuff laying around your house that would also work.

Work's great! I had zero experience with this brand, but figured I would give it a shot for my monthly filter clean. I normally use Jack's spray cartridge cleaner for my monthly clean up and this works exactly as well! I was paying more the Jack's at the pool store, but I am going to stick with ordering this instead. I sprayed it on, waited about 10 minutes, then hosed the cartridges off. It did a great job getting the scuzz off the filters and didn't induce any foam into the pool when I put the cartridges back in the housing and restarted the pump.I used about a sixth of the bottle to adequately spray 4 PCC-105 filters. Comes out to about $3.50 per month for cost and is very good at that price. I would absolutely recommend this!

the cleaner did help with filter dust but you still have to scrub it with brush to get off the dirt and hair

Works quickly and does a great job cleaning out a clogged filter!I neglected my spa a bit over the winter, and it had built up some scum in the lines. Even after a couple of flushes, I was still getting some crud floating around in the water. I bought a new set of filters a couple of weeks ago but they were getting quickly plugged by the crud in the water. I did another drain and clean but it still kept clogging filters when running the jets.I sprayed both of my filters down with the product today, and it cleaned both of them up quite well. The better of the two is free flowing again, and cleaned up all of the staining of the filter media. The worse off one it is flowing well again too, and removed probably 90% of the staining of the media. So don't toss those filters in the trash that have only been used a couple of times, give them a quick blast with this cleaner and reuse them!
