I consider myself to be a "backyard" pit master. I like to smoke various types of meats and have always wished I had a tool which would help me to trim the fats and membrane from some of the meats - such as boston butt (pork shoulder), ribs (beef and pork), and beef briskets.This blade is used in the QWICK TRIM tool. Keeping some as a apre can only help in those moments in which you say to yourself "wish I had a sharp blade!" This tool and blades are a MUST for every backyard pitmaster!PROS: Sturdy, SHARPCONS: None noted

This product does do what it is supposed to do. However, after nearly slicing a portion of my thumb off and requiring stitches, I would encourage you to make very sure that this is the product you want and that you wear some sort of safety glove on your off hand while use slice/trim with the other hand. Also, a family member tried to wash it and also cut herself, too. Granted, that's great that it is sharp, but again, please, please, please handle with care and use this product with great caution if you choose to purchase it. I'm still giving it 3/5 stars 'cause it does do what it is supposed to do, but I can't give it more for safety concern reasons.

Purchased refills as a Christmas gift. Always something that can be used if receiver has the unit itself. Would purchase again! I like to give practical gifts that don’t need to be returned 😊
