Had 2 replace an alternator on 2000 Ford Windstar. To replace this the serpentine belt has to be removed. A/C compressor leaking (south TX), decided to replace, and this is a must....I now have COLD AIR! If you have one of these vehicles, water pump sits behind alternator, buy a serpentine belt, tension pulley, and new fan assembly, replace lower hose & upper hose, and thermostat....approx....$600 in parts....take the pain if u plan to drive the vehicle for several years....The lesser of the 2 evils....spend $7000 to buy someone else's headache or fix yours!
