This heater core failed in the first month of use. There product support was good however and my money was refunded. That said it still cost another day of work to replace a second time and a lot of cleaning of my interior from the coolant damage.

Seems like a decent unit until you pull your entire dash and hvac box only to find out the brand new replacement part has to be bent to fit properly. Tubes were off on angle in two directions preventing the core from seating fully and lining up parallel to each other where the hoses connect.I ended up bending mine to make it work and had to re-crimp the inlet/outlet joints afterwards. Hopefully it holds up, but definitely not ideal and not worth the cost. I would have bought another unit if I had time to sit with a truck interior completely torn down.

This product lasted only 30 days after being installed before it began to leak inside the truck under the dash soaking the floor board in the front of the truck and steaming the windows... Luckily I was near home and was able to get back in time... This could have cost me a tow bill or worse if it would have happened on the highway... Now the repair has to be repeated which is costly and time consuming. Plus the down time of the truck is a hard hit this time of year being our main service vehicle for our mobile service company.Don't buy this part, it's a waste of time and money. Keep looking... OEM part number 68048895AA ( best price walmart.com )Don't believe it?? See it for yourself in the attached pictures!Could they all be ticking time bombs?Did I just get one of the lazy made ones?Cursed batch of 2020?Who's to really say... Just not a good quality product.

Perfect fit.No cuss words needed during install.My only gripe is that the photos clearly show a new tube retainer and foam gasket for the bulkhead pass through. The only thing in the box was the heater core itself, everything else was missing.I do not have the time to hassle with returning it and waiting again. Time is money. QC on the box contents can use some attention. I had to reuse the old components. But! I have heat! and no more coolant on the floor. So I can’t complain too much.

Northern Alberta Canada, September 2019 the heat in the truck went on the fritz. With winter fast approaching, I was googling and you tubing all potential causes and solutions.At first, the heat wasn't coming through properly, so I changed an actuator (one easy-ish to reach) it helped, but not enough with the temperatures that were coming our way. I read about lines getting plugged and needing to be flushed out...but this requires flushing water through the system for a bit and a bunch of other stuff and that is not ideal to do when the temperatures are going to be dipping into the -30's. So, I braved a VERY VERY cold winter. Thankfully I only have to drive a day or two a week in ole faithful. Needless to say I was extremely happy when spring came.So, spring came I started doing the flushing process. Again it helped a bit, but I knew it was time to admit defeat and that I had tried all easy and cheap options to fix the situation. I knew there was only one thing left to try before sinking thousands of dollars into a mechanics pocket book. So, I bared down, bit the bullet and tried as much as I could to prepare myself for a frustrating and long day or two of pulling the truck apart to replace the heater core.I read reviews where you don't need to drain the A/C, I had too. I read reviews that had me hopeful I wouldn't need to pull everything out...I had to. So, after pulling the seats, dash, and console out and replacing the core, putting it all back together again the total time spent replacing this took me and my father in law a full day, but we did it with minimal swearing and we walked away not hating each other so that's something I guess.After we were done and I sat in the cab with a cold sweat of dread forming on my brow, I turned the key over and turned the heater up full blast and I have never known such relief when warm air came out, and everywhere it was supposed to.SUCCESS!Also, I should add this heater core was anywhere from $100-200 cheaper than places I called for prices on heater cores. Shipping was fast (came within a week of ordering it).It has been over a month since I replaced the core, and all is well still.One thing I am glad I did though, I replaced more of the actuators while I had everything taken apart anyway. I did not want to have to do that again for a very, very long time-as in, never.
