Looks like the original that was taken out. Did not use, heater core was not the problem. Returned but was charged return shipping, not happy about that since says FREE RETURNS on item page.

This is arguably the most difficult thing to replace on this 2008 Malibu LT 3.6L. Since this is behind the "dashboard reinforcement" as they call it which is the frame that the brake & gas pedals & steering column are attached to.....they all have to be removed to get to the hvac box.." the black box in the middle ". I was actually replacing the evaporator core but due to the difficulty decided to swap out the heater core also. Replacing this part is a nightmare. I almost think I'd had just sold the car had I known the amount of work involved....UPDATE..,once I finally got the hvac box out this heater core is designed in a way that it is unable to slide all the way into its slot, & so I couldn't close the box back up. I ultimately after even trying to drill away room in the Malibu box I had to return this item & order the GM version from another seller that could get it to me very quickly. ...I also called Spectra premiums headquarters in Canada...terrible company to deal with..I give them an F & I'll never buy anything.Spectra again....the company just said"we don't care" this spectra wouldn't slide all the way in for me to re install & my car is in pieces waiting on the gm oe part now UPDATE, received GM oe from another seller, installed it& new Evap, put it all back together & they're working great. The last picture shows her all put back together.

No complaints. This is the 4th heater core for this car. 2 original FM and 2 spectra. Spectra actually lasted longer. I suspect my problems not quality related rather electrolysis or bad coolant
