I know some of you may have come across this bowl based on looks, but know that it stands out over others in its construction. It's steel, not a cheap wonky wire. I only use Sprectrum Diversified kitchen bowls and such. Over the past decade, I have acquired their utensil holder, a fruit basket with a banana hook, a double decker basket, a paper towel holder, this single bowl, and I just bought my mom the double decker backet. All same design, style and quality. I had tried other brands thinking they look good, but have been disappointed for one reason or another. The worst is when they are cheap feeling and looking. Spectrum Diversified never feels cheap, or looks cheap to me. Has a good weight, and looks solid. Fortunately black works in my kitchen as I have a lot of cast iron stuff. But I imagine it could be spray painted for the more craft among us.

There's something charming about this bowl -- if a bowl can be charming. It seems "at home" wherever it is placed in my kitchen.For someone who needed a bowl to hold a few bananas, a couple of apples and maybe a pear or two, the size is perfect. I think it's the depth, more so than the width, that helps to keep "things" neat. Because the products sit down low in the bowl and not necessarily "hang over" or "spill over" the edges, again, it keeps things neat.The design works. A bit of antique with a touch of modern. It's solid and does not feel cheap. Sits well and does not feel as if it would topple over.It took me a while to find what I was looking for (and needed) and this fit the bill. Definitely recommend.

It's made of good quality material. It's heavier than it looks but not too heavy. Which is good because I have kids and I don't want it to topple over easy. Fits alot of fruit in it and has a pretty design even if it's not full of fruit. Can be used to store other things than fruit.

So, I know this is totally strange, but I needed this for a Christmas present for my daughter. She is 7 and loves her play kitchen. She kept insisting to add a fruit bowl to her Christmas list for her kitchen. I assume it is because I have a similar wire basket where I put fruit in my kitchen. It was fairly difficult to find anything that would fit on the miniature kitchen counters. This does work, my ownly complaint is that the wires were a little too far spaced apart. Her plastic fruit tends to fall through the spaces. It would have made more sense to have spaced them closer since it is a "mini" fruit bowl and most likely you would put smaller items in it. However, she loved it. She jumped up and immediately took it to her play kitchen.
