Kind Tips

  • The tapping depth should not exceed 1.5 times the diameter of the tap. For example: the diameter of M5x0.8 is about 5mm, the depth cannot exceed 7.5mm.
  • Control the speed according to the hardness of the material, the higher the hardness, the slower the speed.
  • Before tapping, use a twist drill to drill holes. When tapping, the angle should be vertical at 90° and keep stable.
  • Properly add coolant (such as water) when tapping, which can prolong the service life.

How to choose the size of twist drill bit

When the hardness of the material is high, the twist drill can choose a size slightly larger than 0.1mm-0.2mm

I screwed the tap in and out for a few turns but it broke off on one of the turns on the way out and now I can not get it out or in so it would come out the other side so I am stuck with it the way it is.
