Absolute junk. They do not work on fishing lures like they recommend. The only thing good about these was the shipping time.

Overall, it's Ok, especially for the price. It's not as versatile as I hoped, it struggled to open up anything but the smallest split ring to a usable gap. If the tip was a little bigger instead of looking like someone bent the end of a pair of needle nose pliers, it would do better. It also doesn't grip the ring very well, making it very hard to turn the ring as you try to thread it on the eye. It'll get it started but then you need to switch to pliers to turn it the rest of the way. If I need another pair, I'll spend a few bucks more on the next ones.

These split ring pliers are GREAT for operating split rings and save your fingernails from being broken, ripped or scratched up.It is SO much easier applying jump rings/split rings to my jewelry (even adding keys or new key rings to my key ring). Great item to have on hand in jewelry tools or a tool box all together.

I find these are not nearly as nice as they look. The handles are so big that they are awkward to use. The pointed side of the pliers is not pointed enough to work well on small split rings. I am also worried about the hinge. My pair was tight and there is no way to adjust it. Also, the jaws were slightly misaligned.
