It’s not unsurprising that this is a lovely piece. It is good quality, as we have come to expect from Spode over the years, an adorable design, and well executed. What did surprise me a little bit was the size. It was bigger than I had expected, despite familiarizing myself with the dimensions in the listing. This pleases me because I plan to fill it with those powdered sugar laden Christmas snowball cookies come Christmas time. It should make a lovely and practical addition to my holiday buffet.

Whether or not you collect dishware and serve ware in the Spode Christmas collection, you or a lucky member of your family will love this exquisite lidded ceramic candy jar. The round barrel is decorated with a pretty Christmas tree, and the well fitting lid is “piled high” with seasonal gifts including an adorable teddy bear and a gift box “tied” with a shiny gold bow. Every aspect of the jar is well made and finished beautifully. Best of all, it’s very commodious, so it will hold plenty of holiday treats. That’s my plan: to fill the barrel up with my holiday fudge so it will be a “twofer.” I know our friends will love it.

I love this candy dish! It is whimsical and classically beautiful at the same time. Meets the expectation for high quality that I have come to expect from Spode. It arrived very well packaged to protect from damage. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
