Perfect for my style of shooting and hunting. Easy to use, works well for the amount I beat on it. I’m not the best shooter but very easy to be accurate and it’s comfortable me to shoot whether it’s hunting or target practice. Fits perfect in my big hands

This is my first button release. It’s short. Added length to my draw. I have a short draw so that is a super bonus. Super solid and stable. Took about a dozen arrows to get used to it. I am very pleased

I've been using Spot Hogg since the 90's and still use my cascade that's been discontinued for decades as well as the closed jaw SNS but I wanted am open jaw too and love this little thing. Some complain on the size being too small but I like the short nose and being as close to the string as possible. Easy to lock, load and pull. Hands down a premium release with the industries best warranty and customer service in my experience so you can't go wrong.

If you are looking for a compact, smooth, and durable release aid, look no further. I purchased this release 2 years ago and it has sent plenty of arrows down the range, and it’s still holding up like it’s new. It comes with a wrist strap as well, but I chose to remove it. This release has a ton more miles on it, and I have not regretted buying it once. I prefer not to hunt with it because it is a hook style release (so I can’t clip it on my D Loop) but I have and other than that it is phenomenal. I would definitely recommend it!

Things I love about this release:1. It's super short.2. Seems heavy duty.3. Small4. Comes with a wrist strap.5. It's a hook release.6. Cocking the release is done through the trigger, not through a button in the middle of the release.Before this release I bought a Tru-Fire Hardcore 4 Finger. I tried it out at the range at the Cabela's where I bought it and I seemed to like it. Then I took it to the range. That day I went out on an outdoor course with the release and something just seemed off about it. When I stopped by the range I noticed someone with this Spot Hogg and he kindly let me try the release. I realized how nice it was immediately and my mind was made up.So I bought my own and I have been super happy with it. It's so small and short that you can really get the draw up and anchor your hand to your face. I find this to be really helpful to me. I can pull back and put my knuckles in my jaw. The knurled trigger it nice and easily removable. I haven't tried removing mine but the original one that I tried---borrowed from someone else---had it removed and it was pretty nice too. I also heard that if it ever breaks you just send it in and they will fix it at no cost. It's really solid and it comes with a nice strap so you don't have to worry about losing it; lots of people mentioned losing theirs.The *only* small annoyance with the trigger is that you have to manually enable the hook once you cock the release. I cannot compare to a lot of other thumb releases but I'm happy with this one.

The release is really nice. Crisp release and more comfortable than a wrist release. Quality is excellent like most spot Hogg products. I have it 4 stars because the thumb knob is huge and seemed in the way when I drew my bow. Once I took it off, I immediately change my opinion on this release; the Scott shark hasn't been out of the bow case since.
