I am loving the full, rounded, and bassy sound of dictation with this product. After trying a more "new school" type (wired earbuds), I am so glad to return to these headphones which I have used within an office setting for the entirety of my transcribing career! I must say, they come very close to all the over-the-cranium type headphones I've used over the years at home, but for the price, quality, comfort, and design (these don't smash my hair!), these are a standout. I have only been using this particular pair for a very short time now, but should something happen to them eventually, I would definitely buy again because of the value.

Works well, just felt a bit too tight for comfort, but bought this a while ago and the cushioning has disintegrated after heavy use, so I tossed it away and didn't take photo

I bought these headphones for quiet listening to my phone music around the house. Not for noisy environment where noise cancelling would be necessary. Probably not top-notch fidelity, but very good for what I needed. As suggested by another reviewer, they fit best when worn under the chin.

Stopped working 5 days past return date. I emailed company they told me to send it to them for replacement. Receipt a brand new set a week later. Headphones work great and are comfortable.

I've been transcribing for 40 years. I have used quite a few headphones of all kinds. These in particular I like because they go under the chin [personal preference]. They are lightweight and comfortable. The sound quality is pretty good. I like the longer length cord which allows me to move around my office with them on. These do not have the volume control switch on the cord line as some models do, so can be a negative in that regard. I have also had the ones that did have the inline volume control and found that the control box would get very warm, so one of the reasons I went back to these. I have had to replace a few sets of these just from them falling off my desk and hitting the concrete floor which caused the plastic earpiece to break. I also had to replace a set because a puppy thought they were a new chew toy.

I have been a legal transcriptionist for over 20 years. I type all day every day transcribing proceedings. The SPECTRA is the BEST headset out there. The sound is amazing. I had the same Spectra headset for years until a new cat chewed the cord. I ordered two so that I will always have a backup. REALLY QUICK delivery, arrived earlier than expected.

We needed a means of listening to TV sound without disturbing others. Past experience with headphones and earbuds was disappointing, so we gave these 'stethoscope' headsets a try. These are not truly "hi-fi," but actually great for TV because they accentuate the upper-mid frequencies and render dialog very easy to understand, especially from today's actors who talk too fast and mumble. The TV didn't have a headphone jack, so we first tried a Bluetooth link to the headphones. But because Bluetooth is digital, the lip-sync delay was annoying. So we instead got one of those FM 'transmitters' from Amazon, generally used in cars to enable MP3 play over the radio, and a couple of inexpensive shirt-pocket FM receivers, also from Amazon. That lashup was inexpensive and works really well. You hardly know this headset is there, and because it's not 'over the ear,' you can: 1) carry on a conversation without taking it off; 2) still hear the lower frequencies from the TV speaker; 3) get a better stereo effect than a soundbar and even many surround-sound speaker systems. This headset comes with an extra long cord, which we shortened, again thanks to Amazon for replacement 3.5mm phone plugs.

I'm a transcriptionist with 20 years experience. I really really wanted these to be as great as other reviewers have said they are because I really really wanted to not have to spend a lot on a new pair of headphones. But, these are absolutely horrible. I could not hear a single word that even came close to the same volume and or clarity as the cheapest crappy pair of my kids' Walgreens kiosk $2 earbuds. I kept thinking something had to be wrong with my volume or settings somewhere, but nope-- tried every single pair of other headphones I could find in the house - and with three teenagers in here, there is a healthy assortment of headphones of all shapes and sizes laying around - and the very worst pair out of all of those still sounded at least ten times better than these headphones!! Also, aside from their awful sound quality, they hurt like hell after about 20 seconds of wearing them. Unfortunately a big thumbs down and I can't recommend these.

I have always bought Spectra headsets but I hated having a volume control on the wire. It would make the headset pull down or feel heavier on the side where the wire connected to the headset. I finally found this headset from Spectra that just has the wire without a volume control and I love it. You can control the volume on your computer so there is really no need for one on the headset wire itself. These are great for transcriptionists. Sound quality is excellent.

As a medical transcriptionist who wears a headset many hours in a day, I need something comfortable. This headset is just that. I have tried several different types ie headphones, ear buds etc., but nothing compares to this headset, for me. I have purchased these a few times over the period of my career as an MT and will likely purchase again. Fast service. Excellent company. Thanks again.

These headphones (I mean ear bud type headset) have served me better than the expensive headsets I have bought before. I bought this headset about three years ago, have changed the foam covers once with the ones in the package, and simply washed the used ones to use again later. Wow, I'm impressed with the sound. I don't realize I have them on. The headband can be tightened with just a squeeze. Totally confortable, and I have eye glasses. I love this headset and I would buy it again if this ever wears out, which doesn't seem likely. Well worth getting this and saving money.

Good headset for transcription. I'm using this for past 1 month. Length of the cord is longer. Clarity is good. The only drawback I found was pain in the outer ear if I wear for long but it may be okay for others' ears. I'm able to wear over the head (in an angle) as well as under the jaw in hanging position. I feel if the circumference is a little more bigger, it will be great.
