Wanted to love these and I did. But the "sand" or whatever is insane has already started to leak out. Buy better owns. As a Personal trainer, I was hoping to refer this product for my clients but nope will find better ones.

I've had these for four years. They worked perfect during that time but I haven't used them very much as I prefer dumbbells. I noticed the area near my workout was always dirty. Come to find out, the weighted materials inside were starting to leak out. Not knowing what that material is, I chose to play it safe and threw them out.

Take a look at the 1-2 star reviews, almost every one of them talks about this product leaking - coincidence?During the very first use I noticed little grains appearing on the floor when I used these but I could not detect any holes so shrugged it off as 'breaking them in'. Less than 2 weeks later and maybe 10 sessions of use they are both leaking badly. The issue I feel is that the iron sand is basically little miss-shapes of iron, some like little ball bearings but others are like little shavings and they can be fairly sharp. The material holding the sand is stretchy and not strong enough, and so the sand just ends up bullying its way through. Mine are leaking from multiple points on each weight and there is iron sand everywhere. Not impressed. If I persevered with these they would be empty before long and not weigh anything. The fault with these is too severe to be a one off, this isn't a missed stitch, its just badly designed. If the filling was of a higher quality, maybe just larger spherical balls and no sharp bits then maybe these could work.

Okay, so I bought these as an assistive to getting more out of my exercise (being an author means sitting around a lot -- I need all of the assistance I can get). They fit well unless you have monster sized wrists. I think they should say in the description the exact length and wrist sizes they fit. I am no expert on that so I can only say "keep the receipt." Why I love these enough to give a review is that they are super well-made. The stitching on them is top-notch professional. These are made for athletes (and people like me who wish they were). The thumb hole is genius. It keeps the wrist band from sliding up and down your arm.These are really fat. That comes from the 2 pounds of sand of course, but it feels like I am wearing puffy lead donuts around my wrists. They are not so much heavy as they are "meaty" and will test your stamina and endurance after 15 minutes of wearing these. They are made of neoprene (the stuff they use for wetsuits). I have never heard of this company but if this is indicative of their products then this is a very good sign of their quality. Keep in mind that if you are a "big man" these may be too small for you. They fit me "okay" but they would fit a woman with average to large sized wrists, or a smaller man a LOT better.
