Although it was simple to install and works well, I did not realize it would not fit the shower head, so I bought an additional non-leakage tape and extension and am now on a mission to purchase a new shower holder as its too heavy for my shower holder .

This made a big difference in our shower. My wife complained about hard water and not getting a good rinse from shampoo. This does not slow the flow at all but does a nice job of softening the water. Well worth the price.

Horribly designed, the female part of the item will not fit any shower I tried it on because it is too deep!

My skin feels soothed/calmed, smoother, and more comfortable when I used these filters. They are super easy to install and swap out. I use them in every shower I have to reduce chlorine, etc. Since I now have a handheld shower head and can put it down into the tub, I often use this shower filter to run a bath, rather than the bath-ball filters which I find to be messy and inefficient.

We first installed this filter approximately five years ago, as a result of having a well with hard water. The filters last approx six months, are easy to replace and will produce a noticeable difference when using the shower

Ok I left mine in the box for a year as I was moving. I installed it, it was easy, & omg I felt the difference in the first shower. My skin is very soft. It really does make a difference. I plan to get one for bathtub too.

I had used this filter once before and knew it was good, but some while ago my wife decided to alter our shower heads, and we could no longer use due to the weight of the new heads. Finally, after some months of not using same, we decided to go back to the old shower heads with this unit and realized just how bad our water supply coming into our house was. Within days we were so happy that we changed back, the water seems to be much softer, and we feel clean once again. No more extremely dry skin from the chlorine!!!!!

Sprite Industries SL2-BN Slim-Line 2 Universal Shower Filter, Brushed NickelThe "brushed nickel" finish is more like brushed chrome. It doesn't match the Moen brushed nickel finish.I had to add a rubber grommet between this and my showerhead to make the showerhead swivel snug. Without it the fitting leaked big.NOW THE GOOD PART. The chlorine test (DPD1) went to negligible results Meaning the test found no chlorine left. The pH measured at just under 7.0. (I don't know what they mean in the sales stuff about "pH balanced". Does it change the pH? How if it doesn't know what your water pH is?)

I got the bathtub version of this filter a few weeks ago, and the difference in the water is immediate and even visible in the bath. When I found this shower version with good reviews, I bought it immediately. Grabbed my wrench and plumber's tape and went to work on this yesterday. 15 minutes later, I was running hot water through it as instructed.I put tape on the shower threads and both the inner and outer threads of this housing. Zero leaks of any kind. It wouldn't have taken me so long if I hadn't had trouble screwing the shower head back on straight, which was all me and not the filter housing.I can SMELL the difference in the water when I turn on the shower. I can completely feel the difference without the excessive lime and chlorine. There may be a tiny bit less pressure, but I'm not even sure about that...it may be just me expecting it. I simply cannot believe the difference and I am so happy to have some relief without taking on the expense of a whole house system.

I live in a downtown apartment in Midwest, and the city’s water report basically says the water pipes are old and usually leave lead and minerals and sediment in tap water.The water here is hard enough to make it difficult to comb through your long hair with fingers in shower. I stared to pull off lots of hair when rinse off my shampoo, which is not a thing when I was living in Virginia. So I bought all kinds of filters I used back there but they did not help much - they are kinda effective for the first couple weeks out of box, but not afterwards.So far, this one works the best. I can easily comb through my hair when rinsing, even without the aid of hair conditioner (I apply conditioner prior to shampoo to prevent pulling). And after the first shower with this filter, both my super long hair and my bf’s mid long hair air-dried faster than before. Blow-drying became easy as well.I really hope this can last longer than the previous types I bought. I’ll update the review when I am about to get a new filter.Update:I changed my filter 3 months after purchase and the content inside really darkened overtime. I can say it’s a good one and my hair + skin always feels soft after shower. But the second Sprite filter cartridge I bought from Amazon cuts the water flow for about 10-20%, which is noticeable when showering. The filtration still good. Will keep using it and see how will the third cartridge affect the water flow.
