14mm 12 Point Spark Plug Socket 3/8-Inch Metric Thin Wall Spark Plug Socket Compatible with BMW, MINI, Nissan, Mercedes
12-point thin wall 14mm spark plug socket is a special tool designed to remove 12-point spark plugs from certain,compatible vehicles. It designed with metal retainers to hold the spark plug in the socket.
Special leaf spring design to clip the spark plug
Because magnets can sometimes break or fall off of sockets and o-rings can sometimes grip too tightly, this socket was specially designed with a metal leaf spring retainer system which holds the spark plug firmly in place, but still allows for easy removal.

Worked really well for the job for my BMW F30 (N20 engine). The mechanism in the tool for holding the spark plug was perfect that allowed for easy removal and reinsertion of the spark plug. It was thin walled and was able to navigate the tight areas of my engine with ease.

Why BMW decided to make us need this socket I will never know. However this socket made changing the plugs on my car a breeze. Would highly recommend getting the swivel version or ensuring you have one of your own for the BMW N20.Little note is mine came with the fingers for the spark plugs even though I did not buy the specific spark plug model. If you don’t have enough tension bend them out from behind with a small flat head and your golden!

This is a pretty nice socket for Mini Cooper & BMW engines, I’m sure it’ll work in almost any with 14mm plugs because it’s so thin. Spring retainer strength is adequate for extracting plugs and reinstalling them.

Bought for plugs in Can-am UTV. Good quality and works. Had tough time getting any plug socket to work - either wrong size or to wide to fit in hole leading to the plug. This socket really grips the socket for both removal, and in installation so that it doesn't bang up the plug end.

I went to change the plugs on my mom’s 2015 CR-V and was applauded I didn’t have a tool that would fit. I have several sets of impact, deep well, and regular sockets: no shortage of tools here. They either wouldn’t fit the bore of the sparkplug tube, or wouldn’t straddle the porcelain. As a former engineer that designed real engines, someone at Honda needs to spend a day in a shop.Anyway, I found this socket, ordered, then had the plugs swapped in 10 minutes the next day. Fit the spec internally and externally.
