Used on a homemade high speed CNC router (not a hobby machine, if you know CNC this one runs a 1/2" bit at 350IPM at .75" depth of cut regularly, so amps are actually being used). It took a while to figure out programming as it was my first VFD and settings are very in depth on this one, but worth it. I thought the manual was adequate but not designed for beginners. Has the advanced vector control functions and they work great. Has every function I think you'd ever need it or want in this HP range. Performs wonderfully, the price is great AND it has been totally reliable for 7 months now doing very heavy 3d machining work with a 2.2kw spindle. I have not had to use tech support, so can't comment on that. I plan to buy more for future CNC machines, another to upgrade my belt grinder, and probably another for my big bandsaw, with no hesitations going with this brand again. Would love if this brand offered a 5hp version! Thanks for a great product!

I am using this 2.2KW VFD for a 1.5KW milling machine motor. So far it is working perfectly right down to a couple of RPM, though I do not run it that slow. some noise as expected. Will update if I encounter any problems in the future as only have .5 hours of use as of yet.

I've been through a number of inverters, huanyang, vector, Tico, and now finally SIPON. This inverter offers V/F, as well as SVC (sensorless vector) , has standard and non standard ModBus 485 communications settings, has more settings than you can shake a stick at, optional braking resistor to help shorten the spin down cycle time of a spindle motor, everything you could ask for. It peaks at 500Hz, can be set to control speed (rpm) or torque mode, the list goes on and on. Tons of features packed into this vfd, and the price is absolutely worth every penny. I'm using this on my 2.2Kw water cooled huanyang spindle motor. You can max out the settings and not worry about burning out the inverter as you can run it 100%, it is built for 4Kw, so a 2.2Kw load is less than 80% of available power, which is ideal having an oversized vfd for any application. Have had an emergency stop and killed power to the cnc and it did not fry any electrical components even though spindle was at 24,000 rpm during the e-stop. Hands down, I would not ever purchase an inverter from any other company now that I've come across SIPUN. Contacted customer service as I forgot the manual at home as I went to setup the vfd, and they emailed me the link within minutes of my request. These guys are great. My next inverter will be from these guys as well. Awesome inverter built to handle the load and last a long time. Thank you!!!
