I bought two. One was in a sealed package. The second one had obviously been opened. Hopefully it was opened and put back in after someone looked at it and MLjust returned it. There is a small scuff area on it, so it may have been installed. I'm a certified electrician so I will test it before sending it back then perhaps I'll keep it and increase the rating..Update!...I increased the rating to 4 stars because I installed the one that the package had obviously been opend, and the green light came on so It should be fine.... I will be keeping it..

It's Square D. Buy it, install it, and forget it. You will not find a higher quality standard than the D.

Schneider makes sturdy equipment. That said, you need to buy a 2 pole breaker to attach it, or it is possible to attach it to the main without a breaker but it really needs an electrician to do it safely

OK I did have to watch a google demo but this was an easy install and I have a whole house lightening protection for a fraction of the cost.

Every house needs one sin e power companies do not give clean steady power and I had computers and heat pump motherboards burn up to low and high voltages before I installed one. No issues now for years!

This surge protector is a must for protecting your home from power surges that occur during storms and power failures. We install these on transfer switches when we install new generators to protect against unwanted surges damaging the internal components of the generator and transfer switch.
