The brakes seem to work great so far. However, I ordered two levers and only one was shipped so I had to wait an additional week while the other came in. This isn't the end of the world, but the second one was obviously used, covered in grime and small scratches, and didn't come with the hose boot.Again, it seems to work okay (so far) and it's bound to get dirty and scratched anyway, but it's frustrating regardless.

I had code brakes on my bike and was looking for better brakes. I wanted more adjustment and better feel. I used these to replace my levers but kept the calipers. I had both replaced and bled in about an hour. My next ride was exactly what I wanted. These brakes are incredible. If you’re looking for a cheap upgrade and not replace your whole brake setup, this is the way to go.

I had Code R brakes on my Specialized Enduro and they were junk. I upgraded the pads and rotors. I am 220lbs and 5'11" and I ride aggressive trail and DH. I went from 200f-180r to 220mm front rotor to 200mm rear rotor and new sintered pads. I did a full fluid flush, and the Code R's were still awful. The Code R calipers worked with this Code RSC lever and the Levers are fantastic. I can now lock up the brakes without trying hard and I am now confident to stop the bike when early and ride faster. I have Shimano XT 4-pistons on a Scott Genius, upgraded from SLX, Hayes on a fat bike, and Shimano XT on a road bike. I have a good sense of what brakes should be like and how to maintain them. Some reviewers said that they got Guides. I got what was described. I think these are great!

Title says it all! The guide is lighterweight lever with some minor piston problems i guess... i did get some rsc levers installed through a local bike shop, the contact point is much firmer and more defined than the code r levers that the bike came with.
