After my XO cassette wore out I downgraded to this cassette since I'm not a weight weenie and firmly believe having a all steel cassette is better wearing than having a aluminum big ring that wears out faster than the rest of the cassette.

I installed this cassette onto a Fulcrum Red Zone 7 650b XD hub and it works beautifully. Please note that you HAVE to use the correct tools for installation and don't be afraid to use a lot of torque, but only if the tool is a perfect fit! Mine was VERY tight and I had to turn my torque wrench up to 50nm to get the cassette fully home. Just make sure that you use the correct tool (eg. Shimano TL-LR15) and use a shim for the spigot so that it slides into your thru axle with as little play as possible. Please note that the cassette will sit about 1mm closer to the hanger than one on the equivalent Shimano HG one would, I had to adjust the high/low limit screws a little. It's no problem as I've now fitted a 1mm spacer to my Shimano HG spare wheelset. Why did I do it? Because I needed the 10T top end on the 650b wheels vs. my 700c (29er) spare set.

This is my 2nd buy on this cassette, and it works great as a SRAM XD 11 speed wide range cassette. Both are currently in service on different wheelsets. Probably 2000 miles on one, and 200 on the other. Seems like they will have a long life.Just check your compatibility since this cassette has s for a special driver.

Good quality, no frills OEM cassette for MTB or gravel. Shifts well, installs easily. You could spend more for a lighter option with the same range but for a loaded bike when touring or bikepacking it’s not a concern. If you tour or do any bikepacking save your money by going with this and put the savings into some good tires.

Mine came from a different vendor that the two other reviewers who claim to have received a fake SRAM product. Mine was in original SRAM packaging which was unopened and appears to be the genuine article. (I compared with original that came on the bike and they are identical with all the same stamps in the same places and cassette is indeed high quality.Anyway, I had a moment of pause when ordering for fear of getting a bogus cassette but am happy to report that did not occur. Item shipped super fast too. Pretty happy to slap on my new wheels which should be coming later this week.

Works perfectly. According to the specs, the XG-1150 weighs a few grams more than the 1180, but at the center of the hub it makes little difference. Of course, all weight adds up eventually, but I'm not spending twice the money for the few grams. Now we'll see how it holds up over time - the 1180 was a workhorse...

Save your money and get this cassette, I went from XX1 cassette to this one on my Epic and while it kind of pains me to 'downgrade' and put heavier components on my bike -- the weight difference while riding is not noticeable at all.. I definitely notice the smooth shifting and quiet drivetrain thoughAdding 120+ grams to the tires or rims is very noticeable (ie the 50-60g difference between rocket ron liteskin vs snakeskin is easily perceptible when accelerating on pavement) but the cassette weight doesn't matter as much, save your money and get this cassette which is both cheaper and more durable than the more expensive X1/XX1 versions.

This fits a SRAM XD drive body. I used this to replace a broken OE XG-1175 because my awful shifting technique took its toll. I downgraded because I wanted something stronger and did not mind the slight weight penalty. Now, six months later with approximately 800 miles of hard Appalachian and Rocky Mountain trail riding (and my poor shifting skills), the cassette is still holding. In terms of durability, I consider this to be an upgrade. It does show some wear and will not tolerate a new chain at this point. Be aware that these new 1 x 11 speed systems have relatively low tolerances such that mating with an older or newer chain might not work. Maybe you can? I don't know. In my case, I found that I had to also purchase a 1x11-specific chain to go with this cassette. A regular 11-speed chain showed ghost shifting in the mid-range gears. Budget conscious folks coming from 9-speed mountain systems where every last cent was milked out of your chains, rings, and cogs are going to be in for a surprise. In my case, longevity of the cassette comes down to refining my shifting technique and more frequent cleaning. I also find that I have to be a bit more strategic in deciding when to replace the drive train components.

Over my PG1070, this is really nice... The price is high,,, but once you clinch your teeth, this is really nice... You really can change gears up hill, and have a great response... Like I said, It is a head purchase. but the smile on your face will tell all...

Questa cassetta e' il giusto mix tra leggerezza e solidità...il pignone in ergal da 36 da pure un bel tocco estetico e cmq visto il poco utilizzo si usura come gli altri.
