The added weight and quality will make this a long-lasting foot switch in your home or shop. Ideal for power tools, meat grinders, Dremel tools, woodworking, routers, lathes, billy pedal, shop tools, and many more. Features a 15-amp, 125 VAC-rated switch with an 8-foot cable and a 3-pronged piggyback plug (NEMA 5-15 series): plug the pedal into your North American wall socket, and then plug your device into the back of that plug, and the foot switch will now be in line with the device. This is a momentary foot switch, which means that it turns your product on when your foot is on the pedal, and turns it off when you release your foot from the pedal. Includes a traction pad and two exterior bolt-down holes. Enclosure rating: CSA/NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20. For indoor use in dry environments. CSA Certified to US and Canadian standards. I didn’t have very high hopes for this foot switch when I ordered it, but I was very pleased after unboxing. It’s is much heavy duty than I anticipated. Hope it performs as well as it looks.

Love the ability to simply step on the pedal to make the drill press i bought it for start and stop. Responsive and I think the length of the cord included is just long enough - Could be longer for someone whose tool is perhaps not as close as mine was to the plug.

Bought this for my boyfriend to use with his portable ban saw that he clamps to use in a fixed position. he used to clamp the trigger to keep it on but with this foot pedal he can stop it instantly & it's saving him the little knicks he used to get & potential bigger injuries.step on for power, let off to cut off. built sturdy & the cord is tough, too.

I bought this intermittent foot switch to use with my scroll saw. I like that if something happens while I'm scrolling (blade breaks, etc), I can simply take my foot off the pedal without having to reach up and hit the saw's power switch. I am very satisfied with the quality of this foot switch. It is heavy, sturdy and the switch inside it seems to work very well. I like the simple design of being able to just plug this in the wall and then plug my saw into the piggy-back outlet attached to the power cord. I can't find anything I don't like about this foot switch. I think the price is decent, too. I'll update my review in the future if my experience with this foot switch changes.

I was pleased to find SSC Controls selling products on Amazon.I work as an Underground Lineman, where we use their foot switches for operator safety, in controllingwinches and such.SSC products are built to last and to handle the extreme conditions we throw at them.This pedal I purchased for home use is exactly what I expected.It is true you can save a few bucks by buying a crappy and cheap one made in China, but you do get what you pay for.Since I am using this as a safety interlock, quality and reliability matter a lot.Check out their website. They have a large selection of light to heavy duty foot switches, in many configurations. including POT switches, if you need variable control.

Heavy duty, USA made switch. The parts are die castings, not stamped steel sheet metal. The spring action is strong and decisive. This switch is sold by, and was shipped fast directly from the manufacturer. I believe that "made in USA" tools are most always worth seeking out. Do that and long after you've forgotten the justified higher cost, you'll have a shop full of reliable tools. I would recommend this switch to a friend.
