All the screw holes lined up perfectly with the SSD and the existing computer tray. All the screws fit the screw holes on the tray and on the new SSDs. No screws missing. They even included a small Phillips screwdriver that fit the eight screws. One thing I did to make the job go smoothly was to take a 3mm thumb screw and hand screw each of the eight holes. This was because a little spray paint got into a couple of the screw holes and the small Phillips and/or the included screw may have become damaged if I did not do the hand screw. If you have a 3mm tap, that would also work to clear the hole perfectly.

There's no reason to buy a more expensive mounting bracket, as this is a complete solution, with mounting screws (2 sets), the actual brackets (2), and a small handy screw driver that can not only be used for securing the SSD to these brackets, but I personally use it to remove the M.2 drives that seem to go bad often with the Dell Optiplex PC's I purchased back in 2019 for my company.I highly recommend these as a cost effective solution. Yes, you can pay more and go for brand name, but it's really not necessary, IMO.

This adapter is really very simple. It’s a steel stamping that has mounting holes for the bottom of a 2.5 inch drive and mounting holes to match 3.5 inch drive mounts. The adapter is made of a pretty sturdy gauge of steel and powder coated (I think), so it’s rugged. It allows mounting of a 2.5 inch drive, and provides plenty of contact area and overall area, so it also acts as a good heat sink. 2.5 inch HDDs get hot, and so do 2.5 inch SSDs, so a good heat sink helps the drive last longer. The product comes with two adapters, two sets of mounting screws (4 for the 2.5 inch drive and 4 for a 3.5 inch drive bracket) and as a bonus comes with an appropriately sized cross-point screwdriver.I think this is a really good product, it’s a good value, and it does the job well.

They are very basic but they work and the holes lined up almost perfectly. I used these to mount SATA SSDs in the plastic mounts to replace full-size hard drives in some Dell Optiplex PCs. They look kind of cheap in the Amazon pictures but they're actually quite solid. Note they are for one drive and there's no adjustments, but for a single drive replacement they worked perfectly. You have to use screws (two sets are provided with each adapter) to mount the drive, but the holes on the adapter lined up with the existing part from the Dell PC (usually with pins), and I think most of those are pretty similar. And of course there is a second set of screws it you nee them.

This adapter comes with the screws you need to attach the 2.5in drive and it is easy to attach the drive to it. I am installing a 2.5in SSD in a Dell which has a 3.5 HD carrier. My concern is that the adapter should be an inch longer so that the 2.5in drive connectors end up at the same place as those on the 3.5in drive did. The location on the adapter for it to attach as a 3.5in drive are fine. But a 3.5in drive extends out another inch from that point with the electrical/data connectors at the end, the adapter does not account for this additional length of the 3.5in drive. The adapter needs to be an inch longer at the end the 2.5in drive attaches to, thus shifting the electrical/data connectors up to the same location as those on 3.5 in drive. Also the adapter mounts the 2.5in drive in the center of the adapter. It would be good to have holes in the adapter to allow the 2.5in drive to be mounted on the left side, center and right side of the adapter, again to give the best alignment with the existing electrical and data cables. These changes to the adapter would allow placement of the 2.5in drive that would assure it will be able to connect to the existing cables.

Overall good quality. Gave me a bit of a headache installing it in a dell computer, which uses pins instead of screws, so I had to enlarge the holes. other than that loved the fact that it came with mounting screws included.

Bought these to allow mounting of an ssd into a rosewill 4500 4U case. These held the ssd securely and allowed use of the standard 3.5" drive clips

The tray works OK and is very sturdy. The holes for the SSD drive are perfect. The holes for mounting the tray to the computer is the only slight issue I had. The holes are small (same size as the SSD mounting holes) and the screws that come with the tray work perfect if you are installing in a drive bay that you screw through into the tray. I assume this was all so they only had to supply one size screw in the kit. (8 total). If you have any kind of rail system, the holes are to small for the typical screw size. The rail system I had for the Dell system had a rail that connected to the tray with one screw in the center hole and the other two holes (front and back) had little tabs that would fit inside the typical hole size on a 3.5" drive. The tray being a smaller size the tabs didn't fit into the holes so the rails didn't set completely against the tray causing the tray/rail system not to fit back into the computer. I had to drill out the holes to make everything fit OK. Wasn't a show stopper and I really didn't mind drilling out the holes, just had to take the drive back out of the tray to do the work. If you have rails that have the normal size screws in them, that you can't replace with the smaller screws, you could have an issue.
