These work - they latch fine and release fine - no problemsThe casting is a little rough but finished smoothlyThere isn't a brand or load rating stamped or engraved anywhere - which could be an issue for some uses.The pin does not extend all the way through the eye on the bale - so less than full possible contact and more concentrated load on the pin.I think this is fine for lighter duty applications but would be slow to use it for long term loads or frequent loading at full rated working load.Decent but not great

These all stainless steel snap shackles work great, the pin releases under load for safety. The shackles are smooth with no sharp edges to cut your ropes. The release pin has a strong spring to keep the shackle closed and a quick pull of the pin quickly releases the load.
