I initially wanted the blade kind but after reading reviews the blade isn’t sharp enough. I’m glad I went with the metal strings because they cut nicely and easily. I’m happy it comes with a few extra metal strings.

I wasn’t sure about this cheese slicer, as I have always used marble slicers before. This one seemed a little too lightweight, however once I used it I was impressed. Because of the design, any excess cheese lands on the counter not stuck in the board. So a quick wipe cleans it up nicely. Extra cutting wires are included. The board has measuring grids for more precise cuts, and the board is big enough to accommodate larger blocks of cheese.

Wires are not shape. Difficult to cut cheese.
