The copper roller encourages salivation and relaxation and applies pressure to the tongue to encourage a lower head carriage. The two joints distribute pressure over both the tongue and bars of the mouth.

Seems like a well built bit, but my horse hates it. Disclaimer, this is the first double jointed bit I have tried so this review may be for others who have not tried one before. I also.realize not all bits are for even horse some just won't work for yours but may be the saving grace for another.My experience: The bit is very noisy. My horse doesn't play with her single jointed snaffle, but this is squeaky and clanky and she seems to be very distracted by it. We have a few rides on it now and it seems to be a little better, but she still lowers her head and just mouths at it constantly. To the point where she will break gait over it. I switched back to her old bit and she smoothed right out.I gave it 3 stars because it seems like a decent representation of the type of bit is, but it just doesn't work for me.

I had a hard time finding a bit my horse would accept. This is the one he likes. Good for me because the price is just great.

Nicely made. My OTTB seems to like it, after having tried several others. I think the roller helps him to relax.

My horse loves this bit, the difference between the old corkscrew bit the old owners used and this bit is like night and day. Highly recommend it.

The craftsmanship is very good and was very easy to set up on headstall. I ordered it before I went on vacation and it came extremely fast arriving the day after I left. Can't wait to try it out on my horse.

First of all, I love korsteel products!!! This bit is great for an exciteable thoroughbred that plays with her bit all the time. she loves to play with her roller and that's great. It keeps her occupied when trail riding. Nicely balanced bit with wonderful heavy stainless flat eggbutt rings. I love this bit and highly recommend. Note seller has great fast shipping. Arrived days early!

I really like this bit. It works really well for my mouth sensitive mare who has a history of previous riders being rough with her mouth. Very gentle and helps us have a good connection. Of course, gentle hands are most important, but this bit helps a lot.
