I found that this tool was not what I had thought it would be. The curve part of the corn stripper was sharp and unfortunately, I did cut myself (I will say that it is a hazard) depending on how you are holding the corn.

I usually like corn, so I buy it often, and I ordered this product to separate the kernels when making salads or pancakes. It is pretty and not too big, so it is easy to use. At first, I didn't know how to use it, so I didn't do it well, but after using it a few times, I realized that it is not perfect, but it is more helpful than just separating the kernels.

This is a very interesting tool, and very handy! You need to be careful how you hold the corn on the cob, and hold the opposite side that you’re going to cut. It slides down the cob pretty easily, though, leaving perfect kernels! Perfect for those who can’t eat corn off the cob, but love fresh corn!

There are items you come across where you realize that this is how people who are winning are doing it. This is one of those. My corn loving son has braces and can no longer eat off the cob. This is far more effective than cutting the kernels with a knife and I've also found it useful to help remove the center of melons and squash. The sharp curved edge is efficient at removing things. Overall I'm a big fan of this low-cost, easy to use item. One warning, the only time this is hard to use is when the corn is hot. To effectively remove kernels you need to grip it with one hand, which if the corn is hot, doesn't work well. Easy to work around this reasonable issue.

I was excited to use this corn peeler. It has a handle and a rounded blade which is nice and sharp. The design seemed so practical. However, using it was disappointing. How to position the corn so that the blade would cut the corn off the cob smoothly created two problems, one- a safety concern of cutting yourself, or two-digging too deeply into the cob.I fiddled with it trying to get it to work, but then gave up and grabbed a knife, which was much faster and safer.
