I make BIG batches of pancakes and waffles to freeze for my daughter as she loves them. It doesn't really work well for waffles but it's perfect for pancakes. I used to only cook 3 at a time on the small griddle but with this I'm confident enough to do 6 at a time so the job goes a lot faster. Easy to use, built well, and easy to clean.

This works perfectly for my four year old Granddaughter to assist in baking cup cakes.

Bottom valve leaked a little, gently hammered down the spot welded enclosure and no more leaks.

This is a batter dispenser that pours thin batters fairly nicely, and seals itself quite well, preventing a lot of messy drips during use. However, the general construction is not great. Some of the brazed/soldered parts don't look very good; a few jointed parts feel quite rough; and, in one particular area on my product, it snags a bit on washcloths, sponges, and dishtowels (until I filed that section down, so it was smoother).Several parts, such as the handle, are formed out of stainless steel sheet. The FOLDED edges of the handle create nice, comfortable surfaces to work with. HOWEVER, the CUT EDGES on the same handle are still exposed, and haven't been buffed enough to be totally smooth and benign. You can actually slice your fingers on some rough edges, if you stick a digit in the wrong place and aren't entirely careful.I'm not very familiar with dispensers from other manufacturers, so I can't comment much on overall differences in design; but, the handle on this product does not fit my hand very well, making it a little awkward to use. The "trigger" & handle both have the same curvature, so that your fingers begin sliding towards the TOP of the dispenser in use. The narrow space between the container and the trigger starts pinching my fingers (especially when the container is heavy with batter!). The curve also makes it harder to squeeze the trigger enough to fully open the dispenser's distribution valve, which has a strong spring to close it up as soon as you release pressure.Your fingers are best positioned near the BOTTOM of the trigger, in order to obtain the maximum leverage to easily open the valve fully, with the least amount of effort (since the fulcrum point of the trigger is located at the top. Science!). But, it's awkward to hold that way. As mentioned previously, your hand will probably start sliding UPWARD; and, the HIGHER your grip on the handle goes, the more EFFORT it takes to squeeze open the valve of this product and drop batter into your pan.Using this batter dispenser is still more fun and cooler than using a ladle to dispense your pancake batter; but, if you have weak hands, I would probably just stick with using a ladle.

I have wanted one of these for a while because I cook and bake a lot as a hobby, and often find myself wishing I had more control for pouring and distributing batter and similar.I tried this out for a batch of caneles (first time trying a silicone mold so excuse my white caps) and it made pouring a hundred times easier than trying to scoop from a bowl or pipe out. Using this, I was able to dispense as much as I needed, controlling the flow to allow just a little space at the top, and top off where needed. My gripe is that it is smaller than I was expecting (though size is listed on the page, there are product images on the box and the video that shows someone holding it with a much smaller hand than mine), and that it still costs as much or more than larger stainless options.I had my batter in a 32oz food container (pictured) and this barely held it all, but it did indeed hold it all and had no issues with function. I was concerned that the raised gasket at the bottom of the chamber would cause liquid to pool around it, which it did a bit, but the amount was barely enough to pour out.The stand was convenient, and even when filled with just water, I did not notice any leakage, so the seal is good. The handle is strong enough that you can pick it up without accidentally opening the port too, which also helps for controlling your flow. All in all very happy with it though, my only concern is mostly if I end up with 33oz of batter at some point.

I have never used a batter dispenser before-- I am more of a spoon guy. But I am sold on this batter dispenser. It is well made and sturdy. It doesn't leak, and it lets me be more on target with the batter, whether for waffles or pancakes. The valve opening could be bigger, to allow more batter to flow out, but I suppose that would make it more prone to leak, so I can live with it. I think it might be even better to fill cupcake or muffin cups, where you need to be precise with the batter. At any rate, this is now an essential part of Sunday waffle/pancake day in our house.
