These tongs grip well. I use them for lots of things in the kitchen other than ice. I'm happy they're stainless because I'm starting to phase out plastic. Overall they work as intended.

These were the right size, but they don’t look exactly like the product pictured on Amazon. The tips are not curved enough, but I can probably bend them a bit. This photo shows the products I received.
