This little kitchen tool used regularly in my cooking routine, having European background. I ordered this to replace my old one and really happy with my choice. Very handy, easy to use and clean. If you never used such a tool, it might take a bit of practice, but worth the effort. Looks like it's sturdy to prepare many meals for family and friends. Recommend this product

Spaetzle are relatively easy to make. Not much to it. But if you don’t have the right equipment to make them, the actual procedure can become a mess. This little tool makes it wonderfully simple. Pour the dough in the trivet-like container and move it quickly back and forth. Perfect little spaetzle will fall into the pot of boiling water underneath. Love it!

I love the idea of making fresh pasta, particularly egg noodles with extra protein. I have pasta making tools that are for my stand mixer, but they're time consuming and messy. In contrast, this was so much easier to use and easier to clean afterward.I've never made spaetzle specifically before, but looking over a recipe, I learned it's just a kind of versatile egg noodle. Follow your favorite recipe, get a pot of water gently boiling and then pop this Spaetzle Maker on top of the pot- it fits a large stock pot perfectly.Once the batter is poured into the white fill area (about two large spoonfuls), just go slowly back and forth to cut the little noodles. They cook up and float in a flash.For something that looks so simple, it is sturdy and works incredibly well; the holes are much better suited for the task than a colander, and gravity does much of the work for you. It can also hang when not in use (I hang it upside down to keep the white part from going anywhere).I wish I'd found this long ago, and think it's a great value, a kitchen gadget worth having.

I tried and failed at Spatzel several years ago. But my granddaughter has had a German foreign exchange student living with her last semester. To honor her, we made Spatzel and this tool made it soooo easy; it turned out perfect!
