Bout this two years ago. Very happy with it but I do have a couple of nags stopping me from giving this product 5 stars. The first is - since the beginning the pulleys seems to drag which bothers me. The second issue was my disappointment with the rebounder/jump board. Very narrow and I don’t feel that I can let loose. Other than that a good product. It is sturdy - doesn’t wabble -and one can have a good workout.

Assembly was fine, it is best to have two people. The instructions were accurate and good. It is very important that the carriage rails line up perfectly so that the rollers roll smoothly. We had to use a pipe wrench to slightly twist one of the rails to get it to line up with the other.The reformer came with 4 black cords, we had to order a yellow and a red to replace two of the black cords. The reformer should ship with a variety of cords instead of all black. We had to replace the pulleys because the original pulleys were noisy and the rope rubbed against the pulley edge causing wear. The problem is that the pulleys that came with the reformer do no swivel, so we bought pulleys that swivel to replace the orignals. Had to also replace the eye bolt because the originals could not be separated from the pulleys.The reformer is sturdy and works well for someone my size (5'5'" 130 lbs). I don't know that I would recommend the cords over springs. It seems like springs have a smoother and more consistent feel (spring tension) especially when using lighter cords/springs. But the cords are fine. I will see how they wear compared to springs. I will look into replacing the cords with spring once the words wear out.It is difficult to do exercises where you cross the straps because the plastic pieces used for adjusting the length of the straps interfere with each other. I moved the adjustment piece to the lower return part of the strap (near the loop under the carriage). This is much better. I had to choke up on the lower strap before tying the knot on the plastic adjustment piece otherwise the plastic adjustment strap will run into the pulley when pulling on the straps.Having a reformer at home has been great. I didn't realize how much I missed it during the pandemic. Reformers are amazing exercise equipment because the variety of exercises you can do are endless and it works parts of your body in ways that no other equipment can do. I love my reformer!

Solid product that should stand the test of time and use. Priced better than other dealers i checked but took a week and a half to get to me.If you use it you cant go wrong .... and last but not least it's bigger (longer) than you think!

I am so happy that we've bought this home reformer. The item came packaged inside the original box and, even though, the carton box was damaged on the exterior but the equipment was in perfect condition and without any type of damage. The most important thing to keep in mind while assembling this equipment is the proper adjustment and alignment of the rails as every new user must observe assembly instructions in detail. If the rails are properly aligned then the carriage will run free and without generating heavy noises.Pilates workout on this reformer is very easy and gentle. I can feel every inch of my body getting benefit of every single motion generated through this Pilates reformer. Sometimes, when I am under stress or feeling too tired, this equipment has helped me to relax my body, ease my mind and soothe my muscles.It is always fun, relaxed and comfortable to perform any kind of exercise and it can give you a good cardio workout, strength workout or muscle toning as it depends on the way you perform each exercise and the amount of force needed to do so. You can get stronger or lighter elastic cords, here at Amazon, so you can perform exercises with different resistance according to your needs and capabilities.There are many words to express how joyful and comfortable I am while using this Home Pilates Reformer at home but, on the time being, I rather like to say again that this is a home equipment that deserves to be considered as a "must have at home" and that everyone who makes good use of this Pilates Reformer shall find many health benefits.By the way, this product is heavy as it weights about 130 pounds and it is like 95" inches long, so better have a good area to use it. It is better if you have some help while doing assembly, but it is not so difficult and can be done in about 90 minutes (if doing it slow, paced and watching carefully every step to follow).A few pictures to show the equipment and how it comes inside the box.

This reformer is exactly as described. I've been taking classes 3-4 times a week for almost 2 years. It is not the quality of a professional one (nor the cost!) but it is more than adequate for home use. I chose this one because it was as close to a professional machine without the high price tag I could find. The whole machine is durable, well made and attractive. I do notice a difference between the springs on a pro machine and ropes on the XP556 but it's not bad, just different.The carriage is well padded, glides smoothly and there is no bump when rolling. The ropes for the straps are hard to get adjusted to be the same length but once done I suspect I won't need to do again. I have adjusted them and I just googled a knot that worked but not the same one they used and it's fine so far. Shoulder rests are more circular than the ones I'm used to but they are comfortable and just twist in so it's easy to remove them for some exercises.I like that the footbar adjusts but it is much smaller around than I am used to on the ones at the studio. Might just take some getting used to. I suppose this is why some people got a foam roll to wrap it. I love the rebounder and it's easy to change the footbar and rebounder - no screws just a couple of slide out pins.Assembly takes 2 people about an hour, easy to follow instructions. All the pieces and tools needed are included. The machine is large and doesn't fold (another reason I chose this one). If you take it out of the box it will easily fit in even a small car. The box is huge!I've not tried the videos but if you've done Pilates in a studio the wall poster of exercises is perfect and gives lots of variety. I think down the road I will buy the double and half ropes but for now the 4 black ropes will work and give enough resistance for most exercises.Shipping was fast and inexpensive. Product was boxed with lots of padding, no damage.As someone mentioned in another review - the smell is terrible. I assume it's the chemicals from packaging and manufacturing. Mine is in a room with a door and window so I'm leaving it to air out for a couple of days! I read many reviews on the US Amazon site before choosing this machine and I'm glad I did as I think it'll be perfect!

It has been one month now since I received my AeroPilates machine. I put the unit together myself over a period of 24 hours.In the beginning, I could only use it for 5 minutes at a time, several times a day. Now, I use it for approx. 1/2 hour per use, 2-3 times a day. I love it. I am very pleased with the way I am slenderizing. I am a senior and I was finding it difficult to walk regularly outdoors with all the ice and snow we had this past winter. Although I have hiking poles which I use when walking outdoors, on one particular walk, I came close to falling 4 times within 5 blocks of my home. It made me very anxious and I needed to find a safer way to get my exercise daily. The AeroPilates machine has resolved this dilemma for me. Also, last summer, I found it challenging to exercise regularly throughout all the hot, humid days. I know that this summer I can continue to exercise indoors in the air conditioning and not have to worry about not being uncomfortable. I couldn't be happier!

First of all, Amazon shipped it super fast - way faster than expected. The item went on sale a few days after I purchased it & I typed Amazon & they promptly refunded the difference. Yay Amazon!The box is pretty heavy, I had to take a few of the things out one-by-one to get it all upstairs, but not a huge deal. Assembly was ok, the product has to be fastened together with Allen wrenches that are kind of a pain (would be much better if it were regular screws). A couple of them got stripped when we were tightening them but we got it together without too much trouble. It is VERY sturdy, quiet, and looks fabulous!The machine itself is awesome!! I love that it has two loops on the straps so I can concentrate on the exercise and not worry about a foot slipping out. There is plenty of room on the pad to have your arms lay flat. It doesn't feel like I am working out very hard when I am doing it, but WOW... the next day, every muscle in my stomach tells me that I was doing it right! The DVD's are perfect for learning basic moves & ideas. I will probably end up buying the next series of DVDs (especially in the cardio) just to get some more ideas. I bought the extra head pillow & I don't think I really needed it. The adjustable pad that is already on it is pretty decent.Overall I LOVE this machine! The exercises are just FUN (and exercise has never been fun for me). I have a bad back and I feel that this is low-impact enough that I can build up strength without doing any damage. Highly recommend!
