It was dirty and just thrown into an old damaged box without packing protection. Installed it on the car now the engine is surging, not operating correctly.

This solved the problem on my 2003 Crown Victoria Sport. The motor was revving up when shifting into drive, reverse, and park…making parallel parking very annoying and requiring two feet to drive. Saved money by purchasing this valve and it has been working great for at least 6 months or so now

The Standard Motor Products AC412 caused my 03' Crown Victoria to run super high idle then wanted to stall constantly, this IAC really got upset when I put the car in neutral, upon examination the shaft was either locked closed or open which is opposite the way the old and new replacement Motorcraft was, pay the full Motorcraft price, don't do the job twice. You half to buy a new gasket with the Motorcraft sold separately though.
