This neutral safety switch worked for a little over a month. And since it's over a month, I cant return it. DO NOT BUY IT

I put this on my old vehicle. The original part lasted 40 years. This replacement part lasted almost 1 year before it melted the wires. There must be high resistance in the part as the insulation is melted and bubbled from end to end. Keep in mind while this part was installed for almost a year I only drove the vehicle less than 500 miles. I might change my rating based on what the vendor says or does. But regardless I had to crawl under and remove the part due to an early failure.Edit: Nov 14, 2019Feb 3, 2018 original part ordered.Jan 20, 2019 Switch failed and was replaced under warranty.Nov 2019, Replacement switch failed, no melted wires this time, just won't crank engine unless shifted to neutral.At this point I would strongly recommend against buying this part. Mine is going into the trash and I'm going to buy a lifetime warranty one from Autozone for $30 more. Hopefully it will last longer, but if not at least it has a lifetime warranty verses the 1 year warranty carried by this amazon part.
