Returned item as it was not brass, as desired. It arrived as shiny silver aluminum, not pictured yellow brass.

Good for GMC 5.3. Old ones always go bad and read too high, too low or jump all over. Goes a little easier if you get the 1-1/16" sensor socket. They're kind of a PITA to swap but if I can do it, you can do it.

It’s not brass, you’ll get an aluminum sensor, but works. Can be found cheaper.•Fixed 2006 Tahoe oil pressure indicator on dashboard, now reading properly (40-45) idled.•Indicator on dashboard was 0 psi or 80 psi, now it’s normal.•Installation sucks, not easy, but worth it. Save your knees, use knee pads, foam board and gloves. If you have large hands, I’m sorry for you.•Will need a long 27mm socket or long 1-1/16 socket, U-Joint and extension. (YouTube it)•Location of sensor is behind engine block close to wall. To access, remove Vortec plastic cover with 8mm, then remove the three 10mm bolts holding rectangle plate where Vortec cover latches onto.

Worked great, installed easily and cured the 80 psi problem on my 05 Escalade. Just beware that on the 6.0L the sensor is way back toward the firewall on top of the engine. Had to prone out onto the engine, disconnect a fuel line, vent from PCV and reach way back with a deep 27mm socket after finagling the connector off. Went in much easier. Would've given 5 stars if sealant were already on the threads. Remember to add some before installing.

Item did not work. After installing this product in my LS4 engine the problem persisted. (Low Oil Pressure).. after a week I purchased another oil pressure switch at an auto store and it immediately solved my problem... The physical difference I noticed in both product were, the one I ordered from Amazon was copper and the one I purchased from the auto shop was aluminum just like the original. I do not know if that was the difference.

Fixed my oil gauge pegging to max in my 2006 silverado 5.3. It was a bit hairy to get to but once I figured out the orientation it wasn't too hard. Its been installed for about a month and been fine. I'll update if it dies early or anything.*Update*Still working fine after 3 years.
