Install of this product is a PITA in a 2003 ford focus however I got the original out and replacement in just fine... it wasn't until after I installed it ( stupidly on my part as i was in a hurry) did I notice the pigtail from the replacement did not clip and lock into the original clip. It fit in the original pigtail that is in the engine however it wont clip & lock which is resulting in it not fitting properly and will not work! UGH...

I had no idea some Ford vehicles have what is called a "Fail safe cooling mode". This is enabled when the temperature gets too Hot. It keeps the Engine from operating at dangerous levels, and damaging the engine. The vehicle's computer CAN receive false readings form the coolant sensor and that enables this mode, it very much mimics a blown head gasket, the Engine drops down to 4 working cylinders, and eventually shuts down. I thought I indeed had a blown head-gasket Yikes, but it turns out it was just this sensor, super relieved and it was easy to replace too, Awesome!!
