Easy to install.Color is darker than picture shown, more as red brass. But it is very easy to put it into door. Finally removed my old, rusted, broken one. Thank you.

Pretty standard peephole viewer. Stanley quality is always good. No issues.

Description is wrong. This is not a 1/2 inch bore product, it is 9/16 bore, which is slightly bigger than 1/2 inch.Make sure your hole is the right size before purchasing this.

Has a sort of sophisticated look to it with the black ring around the brass.I purchased a Hitachi 9/16" auger type drill bit along with this.It made instillation easy. One thing I did,was to drill from both sides of the door, as to not get any fray from either side of the door.Although, measurements must be exact drilling it from both sides of the door.If you would rather not risk a miss measure, I would drill from the inside out with this product.(The outside part is 5/16" in diameter more than the inside part of viewer.)p.s.The outside part measures 1".

You need a 9/16 drill bit which is expensive and most common household drills cannot hold it because the chuck is not large enough. Good product but hard to do it yourself because it requires special tools.
