The .5" tool maybe has a 3/8" max cross section. First use on a stainless fitting and snap!

Considered buying a set for years but the occasional use deterred me. Have only used on 1" plastic hose to pipe fitting. It worked as expected. Not sure how well they work if removing corroded steel or aluminum. I was installing not removing. would be cautious if heating was required to remove. When the cam locks, the turning force is a little off center. I am in the marine repair field and I purchased these to circumvent major tear down of a transom assembly to repair a broken water supply fitting. lots of corrosion making disassembly problematic and expensive.

Great tool. For removal of broken pipe pieces, just put the circular end into the broken pipe then a CW turn with hex wrench to dislodge. Solid steel design including pouch for tool box storage.
