The staples are designated "Heavy Duty" however while attempting to secure a motorcycle seat cover to the seat pan, (the seat pan is molded plastic), the staples simply bent and would not penetrate the plastic form. To make the staples penetrate the seat pan, I secured the ream of staples in a bench vice and sharpened the points with a small grinding tool. After sharpening, most of the staples would penetrate the plastic form, (some still bent and did not penetrate). If the staples are to be designated "Heavy Duty", they should be of a thicker gauge steel.

I liked the fact that they could be used in outdoor locations, but they were too soft to penetrate hardwood (oak) and simply bent over without penetrating. I tried both manual and electric consumer quality staplers.

After being plagued for decades with staples misfiring, jamming, not penetrating properly, etc., I threw out my Arrow gun and , I bought a Stanley TRA550Z electric stapler. This didn't work any better with the T-50 staples I had on hand, so I figured I would try staples recommended for this gun and bought these stainless steel ones based on reviews. I use thousands of staples a year, stretching canvas to frames for art, so was delighted when I was able to cut my work time in half with these staples. The legs of my old T-50 staples have chiseled points that are designed to go in different directions when they penetrate the material. In theory, this would make them less likely to pull out, but in practice made it very difficult to get a staple to go in without twisting and having one leg not enter at all. The legs on these Stanley staples are chiseled straight across without points, so enter the wood straight in. This made all the difference in the ability of my staple gun to do the job it was designed for. I highly recommend these if you have been blaming your staple gun like I was.

Got these to reupholster some folding chairs and all the ones they had at the local hardware store were way too long.(It's all fun and games until somebody gets a staple in the butt.)These short 1/4 inch staples went in great and didn't poke through the other side. No misfires. No problems.Thank you Stanley, whoever you are. :)

Shipped fast as needed and less expensive than others. I am using this with a Stanley TR150 Sharpshooter stapler, and they work as expected (very well). This will fit a variety of other guns, but make sure to check ahead of time. Stanley TRA708 or Arrow T50 are the main keywords you will need to see if these are compatible with your stapler. The stainless staples are great for outdoor projects or other items requiring corrosion protection

Great stainless staples I used to reinstall re-carpet my trailer bunks on my boat trailer. The old staples just disintegrated allowing the old carpet to start peeling up and became all rusty which started making rust stains on the hull of my boat. I re-carperted the bunks and used these stainless staples to fasten the carpet to the wood planks. I am happy to say after using the boat at least 10 times (trailer is submerged in saltwater 2x per use: in/out of water) there are no signs of any rust or corrosion at all. The staples have kept the material down tight and were a perfect choice for the job. I plan to use the rest for stapling the wires on my outdoor christmas lights around the house and to secure lights around the limbs we wrap on a large tree in my front yard...

I needed to fix the covers on my boat seats, the originals had rusted out, but the material is still good. If they had been stainless to begin with, I probably wouldn't have needed to replace them. There are a number of sizes available. The last time i bought stainless staples, they were Monel, and were very expensive and only in one size, a size I couldn't us this time.
