This printer works flawlessly with our Square Stand POS system. I was worried about the cash register that I had purchased, because square stands are only compatible with USB connections and we had purchased a "traditional connection" unit. Not a problem, this printer has the correct accessory port on the back so we can control our cash drawer through the printer. Prints beautiful and professional looking receipts. We are hoping to NOT have to use this printer as much as possible, to remain as green as possible. However, having a great looking receipt for the customer that requests one, makes the investment TOTALLY worth it. Great job Star Micronics!

This unit came swiftly as promised with all intact. the instructions are not accurate and will lead an individual astray if you are using this with a square stand. The USB cable hookup that is referenced in the set up manual does not work with an I Pad type stand. A person must use the enclosed, printer to USB type cable for this connection. The male USB to male USB cable that is indicated in the instructions does not work (or at least with my unit) with the Ipad square stand. This information needs to be verified and changed in the printed quick set up instructions and also in the online square tutorial.....

This printer is alright. It keeps shutting off the power that’s connected to the register and the credit cards chip reader. It’s problem and slows down business and it will turn back on when ever.

It was nice when it worked. It only lasted for three months. The power went out on it. I tried connecting into different power sources and it still wouldn't work. With these units, there is no on/off switch. I called support and the only thing they could tell me was send it back in and pay for a new one. I will not be buying this product in the future.

Item arrived in time and as expected. Plugged it in to our square stand and BAM, we were able to start printing receipts easily. Works seamlessly with square. We can't wait to add it to our food truck when we open! Much cheaper than the exact same printer sold directly through square.
