7 year old began drum lessons and the instructor wanted her to have kid specific sticks. These are great. They’ve held up although she probably hasn’t been terribly hard on them.

I do super girl themed gifts for my granddaughter. Pink items that I have the S decal on. A while back I got her a drum set (oh how my daughter loves me) that again with decal for the motif, so to complete the set I got her enough of these pink drumsticks to last her til she outgrows this set. She loved them.

These drum sticks are great for little kids. My son is 5 and they work perfectly for what they are intended for. The weight on them is very light so not to heavy for them to handle when practicing for long periods of time. They are definitely to light weight for anyone looking to use them professionally, but if your an adult with short harms and small hands they are not to bad to mess around with. My only complaint is that the paint chips easily and the sticks all came stuck to the paper packaging that hold the sets together and also to themselves. When separated from the packaging and each other the paint chipped off. If it wasn’t for that these would hands down be 5 starts for what they are intended for.

I'm including a photo of a Starfavor stick next to a typical adult drumstick--as you can see, the tips and diameter are similar. They're just shorter, which is perfect for finding a balanced grip in smaller hands. The finish work on these is decent--they're not quite as smooth feeling as most brand name sticks, but there are no splinters or sharp edges. The wood grade is okay as well. As advertised, they are somewhat lighter than full-sized sticks, but not dramatically so. Younger players should find these very useful, and transitioning to larger sticks as they grow should be intuitive.I would anticipate that these will be as durable as typical maple sticks offered by the major brands, and they're likely to last even longer if they're being used by smaller players who aren't quite as physical in their playing. And in a pinch, they're just fine for older/larger players, too. They'll get the job done. A great value for six pairs, too!

These are good sticks for teaching young kids to play drums. They are 13 inches long (not 14) and half an inch in diameter. They have a long taper starting almost 5 inches from the tip, which creates a good rebound. These sticks are too small and light for most adults, although they might work for specialized pianissimo playing. But for kids, I think these are ideally sized. Even though they are too small for my hands, I found them pleasant to use and very playable.The wood is smooth and feels nice in the hand. Out of the box they have a slight aroma like olive oil, which I found pleasant. Each stick is printed with "Starfavor Kidsticks" and a cute star logo.Each pair came paired in a cardstock sleeve. 3 of the pairs were well matched out of the box. The other 3 I was able to remix to come up with a total of 5 matched pairs and one with a pitch mismatch. With natural wood this is to be expected from most brands of sticks. Manufacture quality seems consistent, with well matched tip shape and generally straight sticks. Of the 12 sticks I tested, 2 had just barely detectable wobble when rolled on a flat surface.
