Was looking for a replacement light for my porch light(s) on my RV. I was always replacing the bulbs and they were never very bright. I came across this light and even while it was $40+, I really liked the idea of a motion sensor activated light. It came really quick with the Amazon Prime and looked really nice in the package. The instructions were clear and simple to understand and follow which is an added bonus if you're not particularly adept at electrical wiring. This mounted extremely easy and covered the existing light hole in the side of my RV very nicely. They give dimensions and you need to measure your light fixture to make sure this will cover and or fit in the location you intend to mount. I removed my old light, wired it in according to the instructions given in the provided pamphlet with heat shrink butt connectors for a waterproof connection. Screwed it to the side of my RV with the new screws provided, rechecked light function, then added a small bead of silicone along the top edge and sides, smoothed it with my finger and was done. Whole install room around 30 minutes taking my time, and taking steps to make it look like a professional install. It flashes the little blue light letting you know it's active and in the evening, light comes on whenever you exit the RV or approach the RV which is a nice safety feature and security feature. Extremely bright, MUCH brighter than the original light the RV came with and works and functions as advertised and works great with the security camera system I have. I can't recommend this light enough and would recommend it to anyone who wants a better light for their RV. This light gets a thumbs up and 5 stars from me. I definitely would buy it again.

The motion detection on mine is pretty ineffectual. I have a $20 light on my rig that works far better. I'm using this one as a regular switch-on light as it's an improvement over the old one but I can't recommend it as a motion light.Update: Ultimately died all together. 1 star for sort of working for a couple months.

We don't know if it was good or bad. We never opened it. After going back on line it either was the wrong light saying it was a camper light. We wanted it for a small room. This was not what we thought it was. Sorry

received my SL2000 on friday, took it out of the box on saturday. Instructions say to use the two white wires in the back to the light to connect it, 1 white marked positive and one White marked negative. in fact there are three wires in the back of the light 1 white, 1 yellow, and 1 black. No identifying markers on the wires as to polarity or function. I need some help to figure out the wiring arrangement. The light looks good but the instruction booklet I received is totally wrong for the light that I received although it is identified as the correct booklet.

I bought 2 this time, one for the front door and one for the garage door.. I've only installed 1 so far but it works great and as desired. However, it doesn't come with the seals or gaskets you need and you have to modify the interior slight with a dremel or clippers to allow for flush routing of the wires. I went to hardware and bought some oring material and silicone caulk. Sealed up and it rocks.About a year ago I bought this unit for my new 5th from the dealer. They installed it and didn't even test it. Every time the switch was flipped, the 15 amp 12v fuse would blow. I pulled it back off the wall and tried every combination of wires I could but it never worked. I had issues with the dealer so I tossed it. I should have returned it but was moving and didn't have time to mess around. Fortunately they left my original light in the pass through.

Bought the motion sensing porch light and love it. We've now added the motion sensing 'scare' lights to both sides of our travel trailer. They're perfect. If we're boondocking somewhere or in an area we feel more comfortable with the lights in standby, we will use them. Easy to install, look good and appear to be a quality product to me.Update on 11/18/14. If you like the idea that indicator lights blinking detours unwelcome visitors, then you will love these lights. I found it brought too much attention to our travel trailer at night. So, I called the factory. They suggested screw covers to slip of the LED light - worked perfect and now the indicator lights are only faintly visible at night.
