I would strongly advise against the purchase of this light fixture. It is a shame because the fixture itself seems well built. I bought the fixture in December and must admit I did not unbox it for installation until June. At that time, as noted in other reviews, I found the bulb was separated from its base. As the bulb had a supposed 1 year warranty anyway, I thought it would be easy enough to secure a replacement bulb. I contacted the seller, Kart It, and was informed that the thirty day return period was over and they didn't deal with warranty issues anyway. They said contact the manufacturer. An email and phone call to the manufacturer, AP products were responded to promptly. I was informed they only supplied to distributors, and that they did not handle warranty issues directly. I then contacted Starlights on several different phone numbers which were included in the installation instructions with the fixture. All numbers resulted in a message to call AP Products with warranty issues. Message left with no response. Another call to AP products about the message at Starlights resulted in the same never ending loop of no satisfaction. The replacement bulb is $25.00. Like I said, I would strongly advise against purchasing this product, or any product involving these three parties.

I had this product before . It works really well except the white lens on side of light only last a couple years and then the plastic disintegrates and lets water into fixture then it’s no good. I bought another pair for my motorhome. Hopefully I’ll get 3 years out of them. It’s really bright and the motion picks you up from 30 feet away. They just need make the white plastic lens a little more durable.

Very powerful motion detecting 12v RV light. It does not have a seal for mounting I used Marine Silicone and left a little opening at the bottom just in case. I didn't like the seal around the lamp, so I put more silicone around it as well. There is a adjustments in where the lamp is located to set the motion detectors. There is also a separate wire that you can use to activate other items as well. Does not have a switch. My camper did not have a switch to turn on the lamp, so I had to add a switch. When you turn on and off it works like a regular lamp. You have to do a quick On Off On in order to set the motion detector. You can tell in the daylight it is set when a blue LED flashes. or green LED at night. It picks up about 30 feet away, as received.Customer service was awesome! My unit arrived with a lamp that had disconnected from the base (wires disconnected) contacted Starlights by email and I received a new bulb quickly. No issues, very friendly service.

This is a hot purchase that comes as described. Install takes less than 5 mins. this is the perfect solution to constantly leaving the light on disrupting your neighbors. Keeps you alert when anythjng large or small approach your RV! Just make sure to have silicone handy to adhere the light to the side of the wall or seal the top and side of the light to prevent water penetration! Great buy!!!

I installed this on our RV to replace the factory porch light. I didn't "need" a new light, but I like LED overall, wanted something a little brighter, and decided to give this one a try because it also has a motion sensor function. I am very pleased with this light. It does give off a nice bright white light, and the motion sensor function works pretty well. In my application, the light is mounted above my door, and I have full wall slide that is immediately to the left of the door, so the left-side sensor on this light can't really work well, but that's not the fault of the product itself. I still like the light. The right side sensor works great, and it picks up movement directly in front of the door too, so it serves it's purpose. It looks much nicer than my factory lights too (on a 2013 diesel pusher). I like it so much that I am ordering a second light for my other light.The only caution that I have to offer is that this light requires proper polarity, and the sensor functions will not work if your coach wiring is reversed polarity. The installation instructions warn you of this, but I might suggest that BEFORE you do any of the install, simply remove your old light, turn on the switch so that power is activated to the wiring, and then test the polarity with a mult-tester first. You can also use the light itself to test polarity (instructions included with the light), but I went through the install before getting to that step in their instructions! Oops.. No biggie... my polarity was fine, but this check is required in order to assure that it will work as advertised.

Purchased this to replace the stock light on my motorhome which had stopped working. Although no instructions were included, it was a very easy install.Pros:1) Easy install, includes new stainless steel screws and crimp wire connectors.1a) I soldered the wires together and used shrink wrap to make sure I have a good connection)1b) Recommend using a silicon caulk (I used a clear marine grade caulk) to prevent any water leaks around the light into the walls2) Looks great, covered the old light "footprint"3) Works as advertised4) Great safety and security feature5) Should save electricity, very important when "dry camping"Cons:None2005 Fleetwood Revolution LE
