This works great under 75 mph but not with strong wind gusts. My wife was driving the truck 75 mph in strong winds (less than 40 mph winds though gusts maybe to 55 mph). All magnets were connected until the wind ripped the Gen 3 off the roof damaging my truck (because the cable to the Starlink caused the Starlink to hit the truck rear panel until the cable broke and then it shattered into many pieces on the freeway. Luckily no other cars were hit. I would not recommend this mount… it is not strong enough.

The mount comes with 12 magnetic bases and they are super strong. I was surprised at how well they stick to the roof. It felt really safe when I was putting the dish up there. I didn't have to worry about it flying away in the wind. Plus it’s nice not to have to use screws or nails which can be a hassle. Putting it together was pretty easy. The instructions were clear and I didn’t need any special tools. The dish sits on the mount really well and it looks attached to the roof. The magnetic bases make it simple to take off and put back on. Be warned though you must be careful taking the magnets on and off because it's very easy to damage finish if you try to slid the magnets to adjust it. They are very strong and can even cause dents when pulling off.

I tried this magnetic roof mound before trying one with 16 magnetic bases. As you can imagine, the one with more magnetic bases is the better option. Yes, it costs more but it is holding your expensive starlink antenna and do you really want to save a few bucks I have to replace that?In addition to this mount not holding as well as expected, you have to assemble it completely yourself and I was missing an instruction sheet and several washers. I was able to get it put together as it is pretty simple to look at the image and figure out where everything goes and luckily I have a collection of washers and bolts so I was able to replace the missing ones.Overall, there are better options and unless you're going to mount this on something that isn;t going to be moving, Id go with something more sturdy

This kit is pretty good; I don't love the mechanism by which it attaches to the dish, with the threaded screws somewhat digging into the plastic (even though they give you bumpers for the tips, the sides are not protected..). I feel like the fit of the mount could have been more precise if a injection-molded plastic or even 3d-printed ASA was used instead.Otherwise, they give you a lot of extra washers and nuts, but somehow are 2-3 lock washers short.. Though the directions do not say to use them, where the 'magnet legs' attach to the main bracket, there is nothing really stopping those bolts from eventually working themselves out. Another lock washer would have been good for each of those. Also, again, the instructions don't say to do so, but I put 2 extra washers between the magnet legs and the bracket so they would clear the plastic dish without risking damage to it.Otherwise, seems like it will work well, I have it on my metal roof - probably only temporary though, until I get the Starlink mount that I'll be able to attach just a little more securely. I'll keep this for the day that I transition this dish to the roof of my truck, which I suspect will be a good use, but if I was thinking clearly I would have opted for the higher-strength version. Perhaps I can convince the company to sell the extra magnets to simply upgrade mine, or I'll find some other solution at that point.Overall, seems like a good product, and a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Installed on the roof of my camper van and have driven many miles without any issues. Love that I can keep Starlink on while driving for wifi calling and Waze without cell service

It was easy to install and it has to this point stayed on my roof in 120 km hour winds going down highway. Have recommended it to several people akready

This was a starlink mount for the back of my truck. Works great.

Starlink operated perfectly while driving our entire trip from the middle of California to the middle of Oregon and back. While at the campsite, I just set the whole unit on top of our camper's slide-out. Orientation and tilt don't seem to matter anymore. We got 320Mbps while driving and at the campground.

When I installed it, the brackets are poor quality, the adjustment screws that secure the mount to the dish punched a hole right through the plastic of the dish, making the dish no longer water proof. The wing nutvyou screw in by hands insert came right our of the v shaped metal bracket. The arms are plastic and not strong at all. Out the cost of a starlink, do not recommend at all. Poor quality and design, save your money, look elsewhere or for a completely different design as this just wrecks your dish.
