Bought in 2/22, as reported by J.B. in 2019 the jaws are not cut on center (see photo). A little disappointing this hasn’t been fixed in manufacturing after 3 years.

The body and handle of this pin vice are very nice and what you would expect from Starrett. But the jaws were not cut on center (see photo).Edit: I contacted Starrett and they told me to return it to Amazon for replacement. Which I did. The replacement has the same problem, but also, the metal portion is not centered in the plastic handle. It's worse than the first one! I guess Starrett aren't what they used to be.

This one holds the finer wire. I use it to twist small lengths of wire to use in the construction of jewelry.

Nicely made and typical for Starrett. Chrome plated steel with a hexagonal polymer (my guess would be Deldrin) handle. The jaws are symmetric. Has a hollow core, so it can hold a tool or work piece of any length.A relief after so much Chinese junk.

This is a high quality tool that will give you years of trouble frre service. After buying, and discarding, many other cheap pin vises, I finally found this one. You will quickly agree the product is superb for the cost.

This is generally a nice little tool that does what you'd expect. The only thing that could be better is the collet, which is a 4-cut design. A 3-cut collet grips better and is easier to use. But a 3-cut collet would drive the price up, so I think this tool is fair value for money.
