Good cable. I have had some setbacks do to my setup but not do to the cable it self.PositivesHeavy duty construction.Short cableGood video qualityNegativesNo amplificationCan not use on VGA extension cableNot friendly on some computer switchYou need two monitors connected to work properlyFinal thoughtsIf you are running a computer switch and connect this splitter to it you mite see some color loss or blurry video do to the cables from your switch to the PC are too long. You need an amplified splitter. I have a remote monitor setup with a VGA to HDMI converter. The color is a bit poor until I plug in the remote monitor right into the video card or have a amplifier splitter.I would not recommend using the splitter on a DVI adapter for your DVI port because it will put stress on the video card its self.

i wanted to get the HP Envy 700-210 w/ a dedicated video card (GPU),w/ a HDMI out, but that was an extra $100 if i had HP install it, so i settled for the integrated graphics (Radeon HD 8670) w/ VGA & DVI out. i have a CRT in the bedroom, and run a toslink optical out, and VGA cable thru the wall in to the living room and hook it to my home theater. i do a lot of streaming, especially YouTube. for runs less than 50 feet this works great. i get a sharp picture on both the CRT, as well as my Sony 1080p HDTV.

Der Splitter tut was er soll allerdings ist er für mich nicht brauchbar da er auf beiden angeschlossenen Bildschirmen das gleiche anzeigt

All I have to do is adjust the monitor resolution down a couple clicks so the TV can display as a monitor, start my streaming of the shows on Hulu, Netflix, Crackle, etc, select RGB-PC mode on TV, select full screen, then I turn the monitor off, and I've got movies on TV! When done, I minimize everything, turn monitor on, put the resolution back, change TV mode back to regular! A very inexpensive solution to use your PC for TV then back to the monitor!! You'll need an extra monitor cable for your RGB-TV connection if you don't already have one.

Bought two of these to fix a situation with a pair of roving projectors. Before, the projector would be moved with two full-length video cables because the monitor had to be looped through the projector due to the computer being used. With this, the projector gets one cable, and the monitor plugs right into the other, so we eliminated one cable and shortened the one that is left. For the money, a perfect solution. And since the adaptor stays on the PC, we don't have to keep crawling under the desk to re-rig it when the projector moves.

Yep that's what it does. Reasonable price fast service and it works well. Beats Radio Shacks price and about as fast

I bought this with the intention of connecting both my computer monitor and my flat screen tv to my computer. We like to connect the tv to the computer to watch online videos on the bigger screen, but switching the monitor cable back and forth between the monitor and the tv is a pain. Some other reviews indicated that other people had done this very thing with this cable. However, when I connected this cable to my devices, it would only work with the computer monitor as long as the tv was NOT connected, and would not work with the tv at all, period. If you are looking to connect both a monitor and tv to your computer, buy a different splitter. When I contacted the seller to ask about returning the cable, they asked me to ship the cable back to them. After a second inquiry, they reluctantly provided me with a return shipping label. They did not acknowledge receiving the return until I contacted them to ask why they still had not issued a refund. They again asked me to ship it back to them, despite the fact that the tracking number on the package indicated that it had been in their possession for more than a week. I still had to file a complaint with Amazon before I was able to get a refund.

This VGA splitter is sturdy and well made; quality heavy duty housings and cable. I had no problems with the signal quality even when only one monitor was hooked up as some have mentioned. It should be noted that I am only using short, high quality VGA cords to hook up both my monitor and television at the same time (longest distance 10 feet) so I can't speak for signal quality at longer distances. The only difficulty I encountered is when rebooting my computer the screen resolution was changed from 1920x1080 to 1024x768 and the picture on the computer monitor was slightly over to the left leaving a small gap on the right side. I don't blame this on the splitter though as it was due to plug'n'play issues with having 2 monitor devices hooked up at the same time and the computer got confused. A quick change of resolution and an adjustment to the horizontal alignment on the computer monitor fixed the problems and they didn't occur again even when rebooted.

just recieved this in the mail and hooked it all up. i bought it so i could have the computer screen on my tv and the computer at the same time. for that purpose it works excellent. my audio cable isn't very long because its an audio and video so its a close fit but it works great. not sure if this is accurate or not but there seems to be a reduction in brightness on both screens...barely noticeable but maybe cause it bogs down the computer with 2 screens. but i'm not sure if thats true or not it just seems like it to me lol so if your looking to have 2 comp. screens or split it to your tv and computer, as not to hog up the tv, then it works very well. very pleased with this buy!. construction is very very sturdy as well.
